Today, Baiheng's cosplay costume finally arrived, so I immediately put it on to test the size. The overall design of this outfit is quite layered, requiring a bit of thought when putting it on. The most prominent outer cloak part features dark blue spliced with a purple lining, and the fur collar is made quite fluffy, which can nicely flatter the shoulder and neck lines. However, it was a bit warm during the fitting; during the official shoot, I'll need to make sure the fur collar doesn't smudge my base makeup. The inner white dress has a nice silhouette, and the golden decorative accessory on the front chest is quite stiff and won't easily deform. The waist is paired with a wide black waist binder featuring blue three-dimensional patterns in the middle, which is the key to cinching the waist. I tried it out: pulling it up slightly higher and tying it tighter can effectively elevate the waistline, making the lower body proportions look better. The skirt length is somewhat short, so when trying it on at home, you must be careful to prevent wardrobe malfunctions and prepare appropriate safety shorts. In front of the skirt hem, there is a blue-to-purple gradient draping fabric made of a stiff material that holds its shape well and should have a nice draping feel when walking. The two arms feature independent sleeve-cover designs with ruffled trumpet cuffs. This design is quite convenient, as moving the arms won't pull on the main body of the dress, making it much more flexible for posing during photography. Black leather leg ring straps are added to the thighs; this accessory can be said to be the finishing touch, breaking the original large area of white, adding a clean-cut feel, and visually drawing attention to flatter the leg lines. The paired black boots have chunky heels; they have a bit of weight when worn, but walking is quite stable, so navigating regular comic conventions should not be a big problem. Since this is the first fitting, it's mainly to check the fit of the silhouette and various accessories. The wig and hair ornaments aren't ready yet, so I used a sticker to cover my face first. Searching for angles for a long time during mirror selfies, I found that turning slightly sideways or extending one leg forward slightly better showcases the outline of this outfit. Overall, the completion level of this costume is quite high. Afterward, I need to brush out the fur collar a bit and figure out how to use hidden snaps to fix the waist binder more snugly so it doesn't slip down when moving. Next, I plan to set up a light-colored studio space, spread out the hem of the cape, and take a few shots. This outfit has a strong carefree ranger vibe, so I'll need to design some more dynamic poses then.
