Today, I finally wrapped up this summer casual photoshoot for Robin. The design of this casual look is truly captivating, and the white-and-orange color contrast pops brilliantly against the beach backdrop. First, regarding the outfit: the cropped midriff-baring T-shirt paired with a wide, off-shoulder neckline is not only breathable, but also flatters the collarbone and shoulder-neck lines effortlessly during motion and posing. To prevent wardrobe malfunctions, careful selection of innerwear was essential. The orange high-waisted shorts on the bottom feature ruffled waist detailing and white ring accents on the legs, adding rich dimensional tiers. To echo the overall color palette, I deliberately chose white chunky platform sneakers with orange accents and matching crew socks, which visually elongates the legs while keeping the styling harmoniously cohesive.

The headwear was undeniably the soul of this look. The floating golden halo flanked by white feathered wings was quite a challenge under outdoor breezy conditions. During the shoot, I constantly had to adjust its angle by hand or anchor it firmly with hidden bobby pins to keep it sitting perfectly straight before the lens. For the blue-violet wig, taking broad movements into account, I braided a long pigtail down the front to enhance dynamic fluidity during running and jumping. On makeup, blue circle lenses were a must; the eye styling focused heavily on sculpting an innocent and lively expression. By the seaside, the eyes needed that clear, refreshing translucency, paired with a natural coral-toned lip.

As for props, I brought along a few cans of Fanta. The bright orange drink cans complemented the shorts impeccably, serving as ideal organic props. During posing, holding a drink proved wonderful for banishing awkward hand placement. For example, sitting on the wooden steps with one hand holding the can, the other lightly steadying the halo, and crossing my legs not only elongated the leg lines, but also kept the shot natural and grounded in daily life. Or like the third photo, perched on a wooden crate beneath a thatch umbrella with legs crossed, holding the can slightly toward the camera—paired with creamy background bokeh, it evoked a delightfully languid summer vacation vibe.

The most physically taxing shot was definitely that single-leg leap in Photo 4. To capture that weightless, airborne moment, I jumped back and forth nearly twenty times! That pose demanded core stability while keeping facial expressions composed—making sure that while kicking my leg out, my smile remained completely natural and full of vibrant energy without faltering. The extension of my arms had to be just right: stretching too wide looked stiff, while staying too narrow lost that airy lightness. The final selected take captured the flyaway hair and outfit ribbons soaring in mid-air—a total triumph in timing.

The entire session was a relentless process of fine-tuning details. For instance, wrinkle-prone fabrics on the outfit needed smoothing after every crouch or sit; wearing colored contacts for extended periods caused dryness, requiring frequent eye drops to stay dewy. Shooting seaside means rapid shifts in light, and waiting for that gentle golden hour sunset meant enduring the blazing sun on the sands for quite a while. While this summer-refresher shoot was exhausting, the moment I saw the finished photos, all fatigue melted away. This casual design was tailored so exquisitely for the beach, channeling that breezy, playful charm to absolute perfection.
