This time, the shooting theme is selected as Beast Nero (Sodom's Beast) from Fate/Grand Order. To present the character's gorgeous yet slightly dangerous texture, I put a considerable amount of energy into the makeup, styling, and scenery.

Regarding the makeup, the part that required the most patience was the red scale patches around the eyes and on the cheeks. These needed to be adjusted one by one according to the skin tone and facial bone structure to ensure a three-dimensional layering under both side-lighting and front-lighting. The eye makeup was also specially processed to closely match the character's restoration. To support that iconic intertwined white and gold crown, a strong internal support structure was built inside the wig to distribute the weight, keeping the curvature of the styling intact without collapsing during the shoot. The red arm guards on the hands went through a process of molding first and then spray-painting, polished repeatedly through several layers to achieve the matte texture resembling a combination of leather and scales seen in the photos.

For the scene setup, to highlight the character's sense of intimidation, a large area of light-absorbing cloth was used for the background, and a substantial amount of red velvet fabric was laid out on set to simulate the effect of a gorgeous red carpet or throne curtains. The candlesticks, goblets with metallic luster, and complex throne-like decorations were meant to create a high contrast with the dark background, which is the source of this photo's visual impact. The red satin and gold metallic pieces paired together build that classical yet domineering palace atmosphere, with angles repeatedly adjusted to let the satin present a natural drape and stacking.

In terms of posing design, in the first picture, I intentionally adopted a sitting posture with legs crossed in mid-air to closely match the character's calm and high-and-mighty trait; keeping the feet off the ground further strengthens that non-human divinity and detachment. The second photo utilizes a high-angle downward view and directional movements to showcase the character's sense of control. Due to the special lighting of the environment, the photographer and I repeatedly confirmed the highlight positions multiple times, aiming to keep the facial lines soft while ensuring the metal pieces of the headpiece possessed enough luster to echo the gorgeousness of the overall frame.

Although the entire shooting process was exhausting, being able to integrate Beast Nero's regal confidence, laziness, and unpredictable dangerous aura into a single frame through the lens made me feel it was completely worth it. The visual language of this photo set focuses heavily on high-contrast colors, hoping to deliver the character's divinity and bewitching charm to everyone who sees the photos.
