This official photoshoot for Shu's Ice-crack jade glaze design from Arknights was completed at Ruyuan Film Studio, with the core artistic direction focusing on bringing out the character's classical and mystical fantasy aura. Regarding the wardrobe, the main white gown is crafted from a silvery-white satin that reflects a porcelain-like porcelain sheen under studio lights, with silver embroidery spliced across the skirt hem and cuffs. The off-the-shoulder cut paired with skin-toned Stockings serves as the most visually captivating element of the entire look. The wig features a three-tone blend of white, gold, and blue, complemented by blue-accented dragon horns and elf ears; the weight of the headwear required careful posture control to maintain balance during the shoot. The hands are fitted with custom airbrushed gloves featuring blue vine patterns over an orange base, demanding measured hand movements to prevent fabric creasing. That long, sweeping tail with a white-yellow-blue gradient was constructed from multiple spliced materials, necessitating stable support points during seated poses. To flatter the leg lines in geta clogs and stockings, most compositions favored seated and crossed-leg postures, which maintained an organic feel while highlighting the vertical drape of the garment. The studio set was exquisitely arranged with a circular moon gate backdrop and warm yellow lightboxes; lighting was dominated by rim and side lights that delicately illuminated the sheer outer tulle to create an ethereal, immortal vibe. Post-processing focused on preserving fabric weave and wig layering while unifying the skin into cool-toned fair shades to harmonize with the ethereal mood of the Ice-crack jade glaze theme. Cosplaying characters with oversized tails and ornate headpieces is always time-intensive in the studio—donning and anchoring the tail alone took substantial effort. We frequently coordinated positions with the photographer's angles and lighting adjustments to channel the character's divine grace. Shooting this Chinese-style theme at Ruyuan Film Studio made fantastic use of the space; the synergy between delicate makeup, styling, and the contrast of warm and cool tones produced ideal results, offering high fidelity for fans of Arknights.
