Fluffy brown fox ears paired with long pink hair create a powerful visual contrast, perfectly matching the trait of a Fox-like character—gentle yet carrying a stroke of clever wit.

First, regarding head styling—long straight pink hair is the character's iconic feature. To make hair strands look glossier and fluffier, the stylist handled hair roots with immense detail, making the entire head silhouette look distinctly 3D when paired with fox ears atop. Golden tassels on the headpiece were actually quite refined; as I turned my head before the lens, the gently swaying tassels beautifully contoured my face. For makeup, the eyeliner curve was intentionally emphasized this time, using a softer elongation technique to echo the playful charm of ear tips, while lip color favored milk-tea and orange-toned red to express an unaggressive gentleness and playfulness.

The costume part tested details most severely. The ensemble features white, voluminous lantern sleeves and bloomers, accented with gold edging and trimmings. Cyan-blue drapes are spliced across the collar and back, a white-blue-gold color-blocking combination highly representative of ancient mythical garments. To demonstrate fabric flow, a silent fan was used during shooting to control clothing movement trajectories. Worth noting is this barefoot styling combined with broad golden anklets at the ankles; this design wonderfully balances any bulky feel caused by loose garments, shifting visual focus toward feet, perfectly fitting the dynamic temperament of a Fox-like character. Before shooting, I specifically did hand and foot care and applied dark red nail polish, enhancing the slender feel of limbs under close-up shots.

Mastering poses and facial expressions was the core of this shoot. Wanting to recreate the feeling where "charm hides in ear tips and allure lingers on tail tips, with every smile carrying lively cunning," I chose to sit cross-legged atop a large black drum inlaid with gold totems, which built a languid yet confident atmosphere. Controlling gazes during shooting was paramount—neither sharp like a combat character nor overly flat. A hint of cunning light needed to be blended into the gaze; with a faint smirk at lip corners paired with resting my cheek on fingertips, that sense of gentleness wrapped in clever wit emerged immediately. This charming and alluring demeanor requires total relaxation; postures must be natural and casual without forced posing, or it becomes stiff and ruins the character's original ethereal aura.

Background setup was lavishly arranged, with golden tassel drapes and warm ambient lights hanging across the entire rear, casting very soft illumination on my face. Scattered golden sequins and carpets with exotic patterns dotted the scene; this large-scale warm yellow tone aligned perfectly with the overall Mythical Craft Essence atmosphere. During the shoot, the photographer used a wide aperture to blur string light bokeh in the background, rendering a hazy, dreamlike texture across the entire frame.

As a creator who loves cosplay, every time I shoot a new character I try to feel the character's inherent temperament. Shooting Tamamo no Mae cosplay in this Mythical Craft Essence allowed me to experience her gentle exterior alongside her inner dynamic charm. Though white attire looks stunning, avoiding wrinkles during shooting requires care, and movements cannot be overly large—one must maintain an elegant aura at all times. Overall, the shoot was joyful; despite adjusting light effects and camera positions in the studio for a long time, the final output was deeply satisfying, harmonizing exotic mythic feel with a Fox-like character's dynamic agility in Cosplay photography.
