[Amiya cosplay] Arknights swing girl in the sunflower garden

This outdoor shoot was chosen in a courtyard with a large area of sunflowers and a white iron art swing. The sunlight on the day was very strong, and although the photo effect was good, the direct light was a test for the durability of the makeup. To ensure the base makeup was clean and translucent, sufficient moisturizing was done before makeup, and oil-control fixing products were used. The eye makeup chose blue-series contact lenses to fit the setting, paired with earth-tone eyeshadow, which can both enlarge the eyes and avoid making the makeup look too heavy. The wig was brown long straight hair with pre-trimmed layers, and the blunt bangs needed a curling iron to bring out a slight natural arc, avoiding being too close to the scalp. The most painstaking part was actually that pair of plush Bunny ears. To ensure they stood erect three-dimensionally and naturally during shooting, a support skeleton was added inside, and multiple bobby pins were tightly fixed to the wig net, so that even in the case of outdoor wind, they wouldn't easily shake.

In terms of clothing, this blue-and-white checkered dress plus the white apron-style design has a very fresh overall tone. The red-and-white striped bow and the lace cuffs are detail highlights, which can well brighten the overall color in front of the lens. The white mid-calf socks on the lower body paired with black platform loafers not only elongated the leg proportions but also added a bit of cute college style. The small doll in the arms wearing blue, white, and red clothes was a specially prepared prop. With it, hand movements won't appear to have nowhere to put; holding it and sitting on the swing, it's very easy to find that quiet yet slightly gentle character state.

The shooting process was a bit more exhausting than imagined. There were a lot of mosquitoes in the garden, and sitting by the grass wearing a dress and White stockings inevitably meant skin bites. But for the cleanliness of the frame, during shooting breaks, we still insisted on spraying mosquito repellent. Since the swing was suspended, sitting on it required core strength to maintain body balance; relaxing even slightly would make it follow the swing's motion, leading to focus failure. The photographer kept guiding me to try different sitting postures, such as legs naturally crossed and slightly hanging down, or slightly turning sideways to make the skirt hem present a fluffy umbrella shape.

The yellow of the sunflowers and the blue of the skirt formed a strong color contrast, and the foreground flower blur made the frame more layered. Light passed through the leaves and flower bushes, leaving mottled light and shadow on the ground. To avoid the shadows left on the face by the midday overhead light, we waited until the afternoon when the light was slightly softer to start main shooting, at which point the highlights in the gaze could be captured very well. Every time I sat on the swing, I would try to lean my center of gravity slightly back, which not only made the sitting posture more relaxed, but also better showcased the matching of White stockings and black leather shoes. The scene in the garden really had a strong summer atmosphere. Although hot, looking at the bright colors and natural postures in the finished photos, I felt that the early preparation and sweat during shooting were all worth it.

The whole set of photos didn't use excessive post-processing modification, mainly retaining the light-and-shadow feel and transparency of the original photos. From makeup restoration to the texture of the costume materials, they were all well presented in the lens. This time trying to capture the character's dynamics under natural light, although there were small episodes during the process, such as a suddenly flying bee or tree branches scraping the wig, the final visual presentation still achieved the expected effect. Hopefully this set of photos with a summer breath can bring everyone a trace of coolness, which is also the process of continuously accumulating experience in every outdoor shoot as a coser.
