[Shu cosplay] Sitting in the Car, Ready for Farming in the Rice Fields

This Farming project featured Shu from Arknights (Shu cosplay). After finishing makeup in the morning, I got into the car and started with in-car close-up shots. The sunlight streaming through the right window was quite strong, slanting across the silver-white wig, with the blue highlights catching and refracting the light. The striking color contrast between the green contact lenses and reddish eye makeup stood out vividly under the bright light, really accentuating the character's expressive gaze. The structure of the wig and headpiece is fairly intricate; the horns on both sides of the head are quite large and needed to be firmly secured. The outfit features a blue-and-white checkered design with golden mesh patterns, and the necklace is quite substantial, requiring careful positioning when worn. The gloves have an orange-and-blue color scheme, adding a dynamic color-block contrast that prevents the styling from looking monotonous.

In the afternoon, we headed out for the Rice field photoshoot, perfectly timed with the harvest season when the entire field was a sea of golden yellow. The sky was crystal blue with barely a cloud. Taking photos along the ridges of the paddy field, the wind occasionally tossed my hair, but that natural breeze only enhanced the Farming ambiance, looking effortlessly natural. The surrounding scenery was wide and open; such a grounded, natural backdrop suited this theme wonderfully. The shoot felt very relaxed with great synergy across the photography team. Since we avoided rigid, forced poses in favor of capturing candid, natural moments, the final results turned out very comfortable and genuine. Running around the field ridges while wearing heavy horns was a bit tiring, but reviewing the footage made me feel we truly made the most of the gorgeous weather. Great care went into the props, hair, and makeup—even if some prop details are subtle on camera, holding their solid weight in hand made the dedication to character fidelity truly palpable. This photo set encompasses two distinct atmospheres: the car interior utilizes natural lighting to focus on facial nuances and refined styling, while the rice field harnesses open space to convey environmental ambiance. Paired together, they completely showcase the two complementary sides of the character, aligning with my original vision for this shoot. Wrapping up this recap, the entire photoshoot experience felt wonderfully complete and fulfilling.
