[Yoimiya Cosplay] Summer Fireworks and Sakura Archer in Genshin Impact

This sakura swing arranged in the studio is truly suitable for this Genshin Impact Yoimiya cosplay look. I used to always envision how to showcase the character's agile feel, and this time, taking advantage of the free schedule after the convention, I locked in this theme with the photographer. The warm morning light and shadow in the photos, combined with the large patch of pink sakura and green plants in the background, visually align closely with the character's lively personality.

When appearing on camera, I used this wig—golden-orange hair with a somewhat fluffy high ponytail, paired with a red and white butterfly knot hair accessory, which instantly elevated the entire person's sense of vitality. The facial makeup emphasized the structure of the eyeshadow and eyeliner, paired with colored contacts to make the gaze more focused. The red goldfish tattoo sticker on the arm is also a very crowning detail in the costume and makeup styling, making the layers of the entire outfit much richer.

In terms of wear, this white-and-red Japanese-style battle attire is highly form-fitting, and pairing the white bandeau with the belt makes the waist proportion look great. The sleeve section features white patterns, and the gloves are a brown fingerless style with a leather texture, giving a sharp and capable feeling. This pair of red and black spliced high boots on the legs is very distinctive, incorporating a thick-soled geta style. Although they have heels, wearing them to stand and pose is a must to restore the character's movements and temperament. However, one must be exceptionally careful underfoot, as walking in these shoes definitely requires excellent balance.

I have always loved the weapon setting of this character; this massive bow not only has a large volume but also boasts a highly recognizable color scheme. Intertwined with purple, ivory white, and wood colors, plus the fine patterns on it, the craftsmanship is very exquisite. When doing the bow-drawing action, it requires the arm muscles to present a natural line while the facial expression remains relaxed and confident, which actually requires some core strength support. There is a photo of me sitting on the swing holding an orange dango plush toy where my overall state completely relaxes, looking quite agile and natural. The blue-purple and green ball plush toys scattered on the ground next to it add a touch of childish fun and narrative to the frame.

The overall atmosphere of this studio shoot was extremely pleasant, and the photographer was also excellent at snapshot captures, beautifully utilizing this Japanese-style photography garden setting. Taking shots on the vintage wooden swing or using the flower branches in the background as a foreground block made every photo look full of atmosphere. To restore the sakura colors with better luster, a warm light source was used on-site for supplementation, avoiding the harshness of overhead lighting, making the skin tone look very translucent, and highlighting the red elements of the costume.

Although it was a studio shoot, there wasn't much of a cliché feel. Everyone focused their communication around how to give this set of photos more of a "fireworks" vibe. The final effect presented by this set of works, from clothing and props to scene style, is completely consistent with the state I envisioned in my mind at the time. I feel this set of works beautifully interprets the sunny side of the character, while also bringing in some relaxed life vibes that align with the character settings. It achieves a 2D portrait effect that leans more towards a realistic style.
