Tonight, I chose to shoot this set of night scenes at the South Matou Ferry, mainly attracted by the river view and bridge lighting here. This is considered a very classic shooting spot; looking up reveals the grand bridge, and looking down lets you see passing ferries, maximizing the atmospheric vibe instantly. However, a reminder: if you want to come here for night photography, it's best to make it before 10 PM. If it's too late, many landscape lights will be turned off, and the background won't be as brilliant as it is now.

October weather is truly comfortable, with a gentle breeze occasionally blowing by the river—neither cold nor hot. Taking advantage of the light wind, wearing this JK uniform while standing by the railing and watching the river view made me feel completely relaxed. Today's makeup and styling attempted a relatively refreshing route: black hair in twin tails paired with this grey-blue and brown color-blocked sailor suit. I really love the lace details at the neckline and the badge on the chest, and the pleated skirt on the lower body flatters the figure nicely as well. Of course, White stockings and black leather shoes are the soul, boasting an exceptionally great texture under the reflections of the night view.

To capture that immersive blockbuster feel, this time I brought the Sony A7M5 paired with the 2470gm2. The quality of this equipment is truly unquestionable, and the F2.8 large aperture is an absolute artifact in night scenes. Relying on the stellar background blur brought by the large aperture, the lights on the opposite bank directly turned into gorgeous pieces of bokeh, like a dream, perfectly separating the main subject from the background. The lighting by the river is actually quite complex, but the A7M5's shadow autofocus is extremely decisive. Combined with straight-out-of-camera colors, almost no post-processing is needed, and the raw photos already possess that 2D anime-like translucency.

During the shoot, I tried finding quite a few angles. Looking back while standing by the railing, fixing hair while leaning against the railing, and sitting on a wooden bench looking down at a bag—these small everyday actions appeared exceptionally vivid within the night scene atmosphere. Actually, for night portraits, lighting and composition are crucial. In composition, I tried my best to let background lines, such as the bridge cables and straight railing lines, guide the visual flow and highlight the subject. The light on the subject's face was achieved by supplementing facial lighting, making the character appear more three-dimensional in the night. When the river breeze blew, the skirt hem and hair fluttered slightly, and the captured candid shots looked even more natural than posed ones.

Overall, tonight's shoot went extremely smoothly, the river breeze felt wonderful, and this outfit blended perfectly into the night scenery of South Matou. The next time the weather is good, I'll consider coming back here to try other styles of night photography, because this kind of visual experience where modern metropolis collides with 2D anime is indeed fantastic.
