Today's New Year Cheshire look is completely saturated with festive red-and-white celebratory cheer, from the wardrobe down to the hairpiece. The costume is anchored by a modernized Qipao-style bodice: the center chest features a black foundation adorned with intricate floral embroidery, spliced with vibrant crimson silk panels on both sides and framed with gilded frog fasteners and gold-thread embroidery along the edges. To amplify the fluffy plush aesthetic, a dense, voluminous white fur collar wraps the collarbones, adding delightful visual heft and tactile volume.

The wig features a charcoal-black base interwoven with vibrant cyan-teal streaks, styled with airy fringe across the forehead and dotted with delicate starburst hairpin accents along the outer strands. For the second shot, I turned slightly into profile with arms raised organically and a softened gaze, prioritizing the dimensional layers of the headpiece and the intricate embroidery of the bodice. The third shot adopted a seated posture—one knee bent upward, one arm sweeping gracefully overhead, and the other bracing against the bed—which cleanly accentuated the cut of the Qipao hem and the sleek contours of the white stockings.

Ambient indoor lighting was generous, with the white bedding and surrounding walls acting as organic bounce reflectors to keep facial shadows soft and even. Keeping the background clean prevented visual clutter, honoring the festive New Year motif. Because the plush collar and oversized headpiece could easily slump or obscure the collarbones, I paused frequently between takes to groom the strands and fluff the collar, keeping the silhouette crisp and buoyant. While wearing this ensemble was undeniably warm and snug, seeing the chromatic interplay of crimson, white, black, and gold harmonize with the luminous white fur on camera made every adjustment worthwhile.
