After wrapping up this shoot for Dejiko cosplay from Di Gi Charat, my stomach was frantically protesting with hunger, so I rushed straight to Mist Island Fantasy Cafe & Drink and ordered a massive burger combo. This time, I wore an outfit featuring cat-ear elements: pink beast ears paired with a bright green wig, with golden bells and navy-blue ribbon bows dangling beneath the ears. Over a dark dress trimmed with delicate lace, I threw on a very thick and cozy white plush coat. To match the setting of a cat living to eat in front of the camera, I held the plate and adjusted through several angles with the photographer.

The natural light by the window was exceptionally soft, illuminating the plush coat and giving the entire frame a fluffy, warm texture. To maintain the integrity of this cosplay look, I had to keep the wig neat during the shoot without flyaway strands, while ensuring the pink beast ears and bells remained perfectly displayed. The white plate in my hands held an oversized cheeseburger and a few fries; the burger buns were toasted to a light crisp, and the thick patty was topped with vibrant green lettuce and appetizing melted cheese. Although the aroma was incredibly tempting, for the sake of the final shots, I had to suppress my appetite, holding playful, adorable expressions for the camera while carefully adjusting my posture so both my body and the plate were captured nicely in frame.

My biggest worry during the shoot was staining the plush coat with grease, since this material absorbs odors and catches crumbs so easily. To keep my makeup and wig flawless, I barely dared to open my mouth too wide, terrified of smudging lipstick or dirtying the clothes. On the windowsill stood cute anime acrylic stands alongside a black-and-white geometric cushion; leaning against the pillow while holding the plate with suspended arms eventually made them ache and go numb. Still, seeing the centered composition, vibrant colors, and clearly captured food and character, all that physical exertion felt completely worth it.

The moment the camera turned off, I obediently hurried to take off the heavy plush coat and changed into lightweight casual clothes. Free from the anxiety of dirtying my cosplay outfit, I could finally drop all reservations and sit at the table to tackle this huge burger. Sinking my teeth into that first bite, rich meat juices and mellow cheese instantly coated my palate. After a busy day, the joy brought by this dose of carbs was delightfully immediate. The fries were fried golden and crisp, dipped in ketchup bite after bite, soothing my hunger piece by piece. Although the white canvas tote bag beside me and the cafe's atmosphere were quite scenic, at that moment my focus was entirely consumed by the food on the plate.

Finishing this simple yet deeply satisfying meal, I felt completely rejuvenated. Sitting in casual wear without having to worry about the wig shifting or oil splattering onto the plush coat, fellow patrons nearby probably only saw an ordinary diner happily chowing down, never imagining that just moments ago, this same person was posing fully geared with that plate for a photoshoot. When shooting on location, there is always so much tedious preparation behind the scenes to maintain character appearance and keep costumes clean, but getting great photos and enjoying a delicious meal makes all that fatigue vanish in an instant. Fully fed and content, I packed my things and got ready to head home.
