[Leizi the Thunderbringer cosplay] Arknights Location Shoot: Slaying Demons and Purging Evil Beneath Yellow Walls and Waterfalls

For this Leizi the Thunderbringer cosplay photoshoot from Arknights, we chose an outdoor classical garden featuring rockeries, waterfalls, and ancient architectural complexes as our setting. The lighting on the day of the shoot was actually quite soft, making it ideal for highlighting the dimensional layering of this outfit.

First, let's talk about the details of this costume. The bright yellow long cape boasts a fantastic drape, lined with royal blue on the inside—as I walked, the interplay of the two colors created a powerful visual contrast. The inner layers were dark-toned; to faithfully recreate the character's fierce sharpness, I deliberately wore red tassels, a square metallic plaque, and that notably hefty copper coin pendant at my waist. The golden antler-like branch hairpieces and elf ears at the crown were securely pinned, but the greatest challenge was the massive furry tail behind me, which required extra care to balance and avoid stepping on while moving around outdoors.

In terms of props, the texture and build of this Greatsword prop were exceptionally solid, with the golden filigree fretwork and red gemstone accents along the blade crafted in exquisite detail. Because of its considerable weight, executing one-handed slashes or standing poses with the sword required keeping my core tightly engaged throughout. In the earlier shot at the archway steps, I glanced back over my shoulder with a subtle gesture, primarily aiming to show a hint of playfulness when the character lowers her guard; before the pavilions, rockeries, and waterfalls, however, I chose to grip the sword with both hands or sit upon the boulders, pairing it with a slightly downcast, piercing gaze to align with the motto of slaying demons and purging evil, channeling the commanding oppression of battle mode.

When we moved in front of the ochre-yellow wall, dappled sunlight brushed across me, and the inscribed calligraphy on the archway alongside the stone lions matched the colors of this outfit impeccably. I capitalized on the momentum of twirling to whip the cape up for several candid captures; the fluttering skirt and billowing blue lining infused dynamic, wind-blown motion into the static photographs. On my feet were black heeled ankle boots with sturdy straps and buckles that held up reliably, allowing me to pace and adjust camera angles steadily across the stone slab pathways.

Overall, this outdoor shoot demanded substantial thought in choreography and pose design. From initial stiffness during test lighting to gradually easing into that effortless mastery of swinging the great sword, the behind-the-scenes crew continually helped adjust the tail's positioning and the cape's flow. We preserved a higher proportion of wide full-body shots in this set specifically to showcase the gradient skirt hem and leg contours in their entirety. Bringing such heavily textured garments into an authentic natural landscape for a photoshoot was physically exhausting, but witnessing the interplay of chiaroscuro in the final cuts makes every ounce of effort feel thoroughly worthwhile in this Arknights cosplay.
