[Arturia cosplay] Arknights dark gothic birthday tribute

The original plan was to complete a full photoshoot set before Arturia's birthday, but a massive pile-up of commitments this year prevented scheduling it in time. Fortunately, in great spirits on the convention day, I made an impromptu decision to wear this outfit to the expo and snap several Convention photos as a celebratory keepsake. Being live convention hall captures and riding on high excitement, my facial composure might not have completely captured Arturia's subtle, distinctive temperament—some expressions turned out slightly too bubbly, so my apologies in advance if anything feels out of character.

Preparing this look for the convention still involved immense dedication. For the wig, I selected long straight black hair, trimming blunt bangs and hime-cut side locks, crowned with a spiked halo headpiece with a dark iron finish. Both sides were secured with ribbon bows, and delicate gold glitter flakes were dusted through the strands to enhance dimensional luster under the lights. For the wardrobe, the inner layer is a black long-sleeved shirt with ruffled cuffs accented by a satin necktie, worn beneath a tailored black vest featuring double-breasted gold metal buttons to convey a crisp, dignified silhouette. Across the arms, I styled black fishnet arm warmers paired with black gloves adorned with pearls and delicate ribbons, striving to recreate every nuance faithfully.

The lower ensemble consists of a tiered black pleated skirt paired with black pantyhose Stockings and glossy platform loafers, which balanced full-body proportions while leaning into the character's brooding Dark Gothic aesthetic. The red apple in hand served as the crowning prop—the sharp red-and-black chromatic clash popped intensely before the lens, instantly telegraphing the scene's evocative mood.

Reflecting on the convention experience, it was truly exhausting yet wonderfully fulfilling. Given the abundance of accessories, fastening every gold button on the vest and aligning the fishnet arm warmers required great patience during dressing. Walking the floor, fellow fans frequently recognized the character, warmly greeting me and trading selfie keepsakes, which was incredibly heartening.

Hall photography presents tight constraints with heavy foot traffic and chaotic lighting, yet the photographer still seized several wonderful candid moments. In particular, the shot where I lightly lift my skirt hemline—where the platform shoes and skirt hem revealed clean leg lines—produced a flattering, elongated silhouette together with the black Stockings. Reviewing the frames, while environmental clutter demands post-production clean-up, I'm thrilled with the overall ambiance. This set represents only the live hall version; given the opportunity, I will certainly scout a dedicated studio with tailored lighting to produce a full photoshoot set, capturing Arturia's deeper, story-rich nuances.
