[Si Xiaonan cosplay] The Squad 136 Nightwatch from Slay the Gods(Anime)

Shooting this Si Xiaonan cosplay look was one of my plans during the merchandise and promotional events for Slay The Gods Season 2. The uniform design for Squad 136 is very distinctive, with a red and white sporty jacket, a black inner top with a white collar, and that golden decorative buckle at the neckline—the detail restoration is exceptionally high. This photoshoot took place inside an anime convention venue. Although the background was crowded and noisy, shooting with a single-point light source flash made it easy to isolate the subject from the dark environment. From the double buns and the small red and green decorations on the hair ties to these round black-rimmed glasses, I added some little details to the styling to fit the character's personality. The black prop gun in the photos is also a very important component of this look. When shooting a character with weapon props, I pay great attention to combining body posture and expressions, aiming to display the character's cool and sharp side without losing her original liveliness. For instance, the set of movements where I hold the gun resting on a white chair gives off a much more composed feeling overall.

As for the handling of accessories, details like the tattoo stickers on the wrist were also finely taken care of. Since I prefer restoring the character's temperament, I chose a clean and sharp brow shape and eye makeup that emphasizes the eye contours for the makeup, paired with a rosy lip color to make myself look more spirited. When communicating with the photographer about shooting this set, we primarily wanted to highlight the character's "gap moe"—both the efficiency of a Nightwatch executing missions and the girl-next-door feel of her daily life. The white chair used as a prop on set also played a major role; it enriched the physical movements during the shoot, making sitting or leaning very natural. As a creator participating in the "Slay the Gods(Anime) Creator Incentive Program," being able to shoot characters from a work I love and receive support gives me a lot of motivation.
