The moment I put on this Gymnastics uniform set, I could truly feel the lively ambiance that an energetic, athletic character brings.
The entire outfit centers on pure white and navy blue, accented with vivid yellow trim along the edges for a clean and crisp color scheme. The white cotton short-sleeved tee features a loose, relaxed cut, while the deep blue color-blocking on the collar and cuffs adds an authentic school uniform vibe. Layered over it is a matching zippered track jacket; wearing it unzipped and draped casually off the shoulders creates an effortless, relaxed look that perfectly matches the character's bright yet slightly languid charm.
The bottoms are navy blue athletic shorts featuring twin yellow stripes along the sides to echo the top, cut at a flattering length to showcase leg lines nicely. Paired with White stockings, the overall look is packed with athletic energy while visually offering a crisp sense of elongation. Many fellow cosplayers ask how to style this kind of Gymnastics uniform naturally: simply tucking the T-shirt hem slightly into the shorts and letting the jacket drape with gravity creates wonderful layering and effortless ease.
For makeup, I selected bright blue contact lenses to accentuate the character's luminous clarity. The base makeup was kept clean and flawless, toning down contouring while emphasizing blush, paired with a soft, subtle lip color to bring out youthful student vibes. The wig is bright blonde with neat blunt bangs and naturally flowing sidelocks. On top rests a pair of large, fluffy animal ears, with a white headband and tiny floral accents at the base—these delicate details significantly elevate overall cuteness.
The shoot took place in a brightly lit, expansive indoor venue with hard gray flooring. Fortunately, I brought a white plush floor mat along, so whether kneeling or lying on my side, I didn't have to worry about creasing the outfit or dirtying the White stockings. The lighting came mostly from high above, casting a gorgeous halo of rim light across the top of my hair. Photo 4 is a personal favorite: kneeling on one knee on the mat, draping the jacket casually over my left shoulder with my right hand on my hip, paired with a serious yet playful expression, perfectly capturing that effortless poise of an athletic senior.
Taking on this character was an impromptu decision, but the photos turned out surprisingly great. Seeing many fellow fans rocking various sportswear looks at conventions inspired me to find my own vibe with this classic design. While running around the exhibition hall in this Gymnastics uniform inevitably made me sweat, it is precisely through these attempts that one truly experiences the joy of cosplay.
Later, when friends saw this photoshoot, they jokingly teased: "How could the earth spin without this kitten?" Thinking about it, it's so true—such fluffy, sunny, and lively characters always brighten one's mood effortlessly. I have cosplayed other looks from this series before, but the Gymnastics uniform remains the most comfortable and best-suited for late summer and autumn. Looking back at these photos over the past few days, I still vividly recall the cool venue breeze fluttering against the jacket hem during that kneeling pose; it was truly delightful.
The photographer's candid snapshots were fantastic as well. Rather than forcing overly complex angles, we relied completely on our natural rapport to capture that youthful girlish vitality in the photo album. Given the chance in the future, I'd love to try other outfits for this character, such as her more formal stage idol styling, which should be another unique experience.
