[Sun Shangxiang Cosplay] The Eldest Daughter in a School AU, Languid and Gap Moe Daily Life

Changing into this black-and-white school-style Polo shirt, paired with the iconic long black wig, a playful ahoge on top of my head, and those deep green colored contacts, the School AU version of Sun Shangxiang finally makes her debut.

In Honor of Kings, Sun Shangxiang has always been a confident, bold, yet charming and cute eldest daughter character. The conception of this "School AU" theme is actually based on deconstructing and shifting her personality. I wanted to capture her tsundere vibe of "seeming nonchalant, but actually having everything under control." Therefore, during the shoot, I didn't deliberately strike those tension-filled shooting or combat poses from the game, but instead chose a close-up shot of resting my chin on my hand and tilting my head slightly. This perspective is slightly lower, with a bit of a high-angle camera feel, which, combined with my somewhat "world-weary" or rather "languid" expression, beautifully conveys the composed aura of a school "big boss" or "eldest daughter."

Regarding the hair and makeup details, the primary credit goes to these green lenses. Green is one of Sun Shangxiang's signature colors, and putting on these colored contacts in reality instantly makes the gaze highly outstanding, bringing a non-daily 2D clarity. The wig was intentionally styled into a relatively natural ahoge shape on top of the head; although it's a bit wild, it fits perfectly with the relaxed and casual setting of a "campus" rather than being fully armed. The black bowknots on both sides are also classic elements, adding a bit of gorgeous detail to the rather daily and casual Polo shirt outfit, keeping it from looking too ordinary.

The light on the day of the shoot was actually very intense, and we were even shooting against a heavy backlight. The strong light on the balcony poured down from the upper right, gilding a layer of halo around the edges of my hair, which happened to fit the summer campus aura perfectly. Because of the large lighting contrast, it beautifully created a bright daylight feel, making the black hair, which might otherwise look too deep indoors, appear dynamic and non-dull under the sun. You can notice the pink towel, stainless steel water pipes, orange tiled wall, and the water meter box down below in the background on the left side of the frame—these are all very everyday elements. In fact, in casual cosplay shoots, I don't mind backgrounds with a strong vibe of everyday life. As long as the model's state matches the character's core temperament, even the most mundane corner can become a highly atmospheric shooting location. This kind of interaction that puts the character into a daily environment is often more vivid and story-driven than exquisite studio shoots.

When portraying Sun Shangxiang, I kept fine-tuning the scale of that "tsundere" nature. She is not a completely aloof, unapproachable eldest daughter, but a character with a girlish heart who shows a bit of liveliness and playfulness with friends, and occasionally reveals her tsundere nature. Therefore, the gaze cannot hold only coldness; it must retain a sliver of a young girl's agility. The chin-resting gesture designed this time was meant to display this relaxed posture, as if listlessly looking out the window during recess, or waiting for a friend in some corner of the campus.

Regarding this costume, the Polo collar combined with the black-and-white patchwork color-blocking design actually fits the school uniform setting exceptionally well. It retains a sporty feel while possessing a certain degree of formality. The two-button design is highly minimalist, and with a loop of black tracing along the cuffs, it visually makes the arms look more slender. The composition of the entire photo was not over-cropped, keeping the person slightly below the center to preserve a relatively complete head-and-shoulder relationship. I hope this Green-eyed beautiful girl version of the school AU Sun Shangxiang, full of life atmosphere, can allow everyone to feel a different side of the eldest daughter's charm.
