Today, I'm here to share this character look of Zakuro Takashima.
From the early preparations to the on-site shooting, the whole process was actually very interesting. The core visual focus of this outfit lies in the deep blue long straight blue wig, combined with the signature straight bangs. To restore the character traits, the wig was carefully combed before the shoot to ensure a natural drape. The top is a white short-sleeved shirt with a clean and refreshing neckline, featuring a slight ruffle design at the shoulders, and adorned with a dark crown badge on the chest, presenting a crisp school style overall.
The most eye-catching part is certainly that red tie with a white cross, which serves as a great highlight against the blue hair and white shirt. For the lower body, it's paired with a pleated short skirt with black trim, combined with black over-the-knee socks to effectively elongate the leg lines. Tied with thick-soled, chunky-heeled lace-up leather shoes, the ensemble increases the visual weight while matching the character's unique temperament.
For this shoot, we specially prepared two key items: a transparent umbrella prop and a navy blue canvas bag. The transparent umbrella merges very naturally with the blue sky and white clouds under a low-angle upward perspective, avoiding any blocking of light and instead adding a layer of translucent atmosphere. The canvas bag can be casually held in hand, placed on the railing, or used as a foreground prop for composition, adding some everyday life realism to the frame.
The shooting locations were selected at several outdoor public spaces in the city, such as a white cable-stayed bridge and a pedestrian footbridge with alternating blue and white railings. The weather that day was incredibly supportive, with a beautiful azure sky and large clouds floating in the background. This high-saturation blue backdrop beautifully set off the white outfit, making the overall brightness of the frame very translucent. In several images on the bridge and steps, the lines of the handrails and the perspective of the stairs added some depth to the composition.
Actually, I am most satisfied with the one looking back on the outdoor metal stairs. At that time, the photographer used a high-angle shot from above, and I needed to turn around to look at the lens. That pose required me to control my body's stability while capturing that slightly distant, cool expression. Because it was paired with black over-the-knee socks and thick-soled chunky heels, it visually elongated the body proportions and formed a great contrast with the white uniform. Walking outdoors in this gear actually posed quite a few challenges, especially with those heavy shoes; climbing the stairs required extra caution, but to present a perfect frame, all these preparations and efforts were necessary to complete this beautiful outdoor street snap cosplay.
When shaping this character, I preferred to show her relaxed everyday side. There was no need to deliberately strike forced poses; instead, I looked for the most fitting captures in natural moments like walking, pausing, and looking back. Through everyday props like railings, umbrellas, and canvas bags, combined with the blessing of natural sunlight and gentle breeze, I hope to express this unique sense of crisp freshness. The entire photo set kept the original natural light and colors as much as possible in post-processing, preserving the background color of the blue sky and white clouds along with the texture of light and shadow, making the frame look relaxed and authentic. I hope friends looking at these photos can also feel that comfortable outdoor atmosphere and the warmth of the afternoon sun on the day of the shoot.
