This time I tried a look for Sakiko Toyokawa cosplay, focusing on recreating the character's cool and somewhat stubborn temperament. The clear umbrella is the core prop of this shoot, working with the natural light of a rainy day to give the overall frame a cool-toned texture. The blue wig was specially styled into twin-tails and tied with ribbons, which, paired with the classic JK uniform combination of a white shirt and gray pleated skirt, gives a perfect authentic school uniform feel.
For the shoot, we chose steps with modern architecture and a waterside scene, utilizing metal railings and reflective ground to enhance the depth of the image. I tried several rounds of compositions with squatting and standing poses, and finally found that the moments of holding the umbrella while turning sideways and looking back conveyed the character's vibe best. Because we had to simulate a rainy day effect, the movements required maintaining a balance between the angle of the umbrella ribs and the center of body gravity, which is a minor difficulty in prop shooting.
In post-processing color grading, the highlights were lowered to preserve the translucency of the skin, making the blue hair and the refracted light from the clear umbrella more harmonious. Overall, it was an outdoor shoot with high demands for detail, with repeated adjustments made to everything from securing the hairstyle to the fluttering of the skirt hem for this piece of Cosplay photography from MyGO!!!!!/Ave Mujica.
