When planning this outdoor shoot for Kimika Tachibana, the focus was on capturing an iconic everyday atmosphere rather than an overly glamorous studio look. The design details of this uniform are very eye-catching. The main body of the white sailor uniform has neat stitching, with two narrow black stripes edging the cuffs and hem, giving the overall silhouette a crisp definition without looking limp. The black badge pattern on the left arm is a key highlight, fitting perfectly with the character's school setting. The burgundy tie at the collar serves as a great visual anchor, adjusted to a length that balances perfectly with the hemline.

The lower half consists of a white outer skirt with black piping, layered over a black multi-tiered pleated petticoat. Layered like this, whether walking or sitting like this, the drape and layers of the skirt fall very naturally. The black pantyhose on the legs add a sharp, clean finish to the overall uniform styling, showing off smooth leg lines in the seated posture that perfectly align with the character's subtly refined persona. However, I intentionally left enough dynamic range for post-processing to ensure the white clothing highlights didn't wash out, while preserving soft transitions on the hair and face.

The wig is a light blonde shade, trimmed with a smooth yet airy layer of bangs, with the ends curled slightly into a natural arc matching the original character design. The makeup was kept light rather than heavily applied, prioritizing a clean and translucent base, while the eye makeup remained subtle yet expressive. To match the character's lighthearted inner state, the movements and expressions during the shoot were kept as relaxed as possible to avoid a forced or rigid pose. The surrounding metal railings and the crane in the distance added a touch of everyday urban realism to the frame, making the atmosphere feel like a genuine moment captured in this world.

Although the shoot went smoothly, sitting on the stairs while waiting for the best lighting angle took quite some time. The metal steps radiated heat in the sun, but luckily there was a breeze that day; when the wind occasionally blew through the hair, the resulting dynamic shots turned out even more vivid than static posing. During post-processing, only basic color grading and atmospheric enhancement were done to retain the blue sky's color gradient and restore the realistic textures of the costume and props, avoiding excessive filters or skin smoothing. To add depth, shadow details were manually adjusted to elevate the layers of the black tie and socks. For those who enjoy this type of uniform outdoor shoot, this set displays both the character's school vibe and retains her unique, ethereal charm.
