[Hatsune Miku cosplay] The gold content of this Blue wig is simply maxed out

For this Hatsune Miku styling, the most painstaking part was definitely this Blue wig. Having seen these exaggerated cloud-patterned or wave-like curly hair structures online before, I felt it must take super master-level craftsmanship to make them. When I got my hands on it, I was truly shocked by its styling sense. To maintain this lightweight feeling spreading outward, the internal structure definitely had precise skeletal support, and the hair strands were also handled very elaborately. To capture that ethereal effect at the Firefly ACG Expo site, I adjusted it in front of the mirror at home for a long time in advance, arranging the direction of every single hair strand into place. Small white flower clusters and dark blue ribbons were matched on top of the head, instantly enriching the color layers. The weight of the entire head wasn't actually light, but for the sake of the effect, this bit of hardship was nothing at all.

In terms of clothing, a refreshing blue tone was chosen overall. The inner wear was a white high-necked base, covered outside with a light blue wide-sleeved outer shirt, with lightweight fairy robes attached to the cuffs and back. These sheer gauze materials create an especially atmospheric feel in the wind or while walking. The skirt was a glossy satin material, with a dark blue wide belt tied at the waist, and the skirt hem had a wavy edge, matching the side-slit design to just reveal a bit of leg line. White high heels were deliberately chosen for the shoes, with dark blue cross-straps tied at the ankles, echoing the color of the belt. The bouquet of white hydrangeas in hand and the ink-wash lantern on the ground were all specially prepared atmospheric props.

The crowd at the Firefly ACG Expo site was truly massive, but everyone's enthusiasm remained high. While shooting this set of photos, I specially prepared a circular photo background board with cloud-patterned cutouts. Due to the venue reasons, I also had to avoid red-and-white warning lines and various photographic lights, and only managed to shoot a clean composition by extending the focal length. Special thanks to the photographer for the patient guidance, adjusting details for every single pose. When standing and holding flowers, the focus was mainly on highlighting hand movements and the ethereal nature of the gauze; later, borrowing a bar stool to sit down, through the skirt slit and the matching of high heels, leg lines could be showcased, making the overall frame more vivid. Including trying to reach out later to increase the interactive feel with the lens, all of this was hoping to bring the character to life.

In fact, every time wearing such complex character stylings, from organizing the wig, wearing the costume to on-site adjustment of the state, it is a process that heavily tests physical strength and patience. To keep the makeup clean, I touched up my makeup several times halfway through; after all, the convention site was stuffy and hot, and coupled with this Blue wig, the perceived temperature simply rose by several degrees. Moreover, walking back and forth in the venue wearing high heels was truly a torment for the soles of my feet, but as long as there was good lighting and shadow, these feelings of fatigue would be swept away immediately. Like when shooting in a sitting posture, to make the arc of the skirt look good, I needed to constantly adjust the body's center of gravity while balancing eye contact and hand movements, which was also a test for core strength. But as long as I saw the light and shadow in the final photos, the texture of the costume, and the effect presented by this gold-content-filled Blue wig in the frame, everything became worth it.

Passion can withstand the long years; every role-playing is a tribute to the field one loves, and also a continuous breakthrough in one's own hands-on ability and expressiveness. I will continue to work hard on the path of Cosplay, polish more details, and bring more good-looking stylings.
