For this Camille cosplay from Arknights: Endfield, refining the intricate details of this outfit took a great deal of dedication.
The most eye-catching element is the hair design—a teal-blue base paired with vibrant red highlights across the bangs creates a strong visual punch, while the dark red stylized horn on top captures the character's mysterious and aloof demeanor. To faithfully recreate this look, the wig underwent multiple rounds of styling spray treatments to ensure it remained pristine during dynamic poses.
The pointed ears (Elf ears cosplay) were custom-made, fitting seamlessly without looking unnatural, and paired with delicate metallic drop pendants, they perfected the side profile contour. The red markings across the neck were hand-painted stroke by stroke using special effects body makeup, balancing a weathered scratch texture with how the sheen would register under studio lights—taking nearly fifty minutes to achieve the ideal look.
In terms of costume, the inner layer features a dark high-collar shirt underneath a metallic silver-gray diamond pauldron accented with dangling conical arrow charms, striking a fine balance between sharp, rigid lines and the character's agile grace. The long black double-breasted trench coat is fitted with antique bronze buttons, creating an understated visual contrast against the black fabric.
The waist area is rich with leather buckles and straps; this multi-layered gear was so complex that a friend had to help buckle and adjust everything for over ten minutes to secure the final fit. For gloves, I chose red-and-black color-blocked leather gloves with articulated finger joints, which, combined with metallic chains wrapped around the wrists, heightened the tense pre-battle combat vibe. The lower body's red leather leg guards adorned with rivets, paired with riding boots, stabilized my standing posture while showcasing the character's confident yet subtly nonchalant charm in this Dark style cosplay.
We experimented extensively with lighting on set, avoiding flat bright lighting in favor of moodier indoor ambient light combined with rim lighting to illuminate the red highlights along the hair's edges, emphasizing the layered hairstyle. For props, we selected a vintage black studded leather armchair; the grayish-white damask wallpaper in the background balanced the heaviness of black, instantly pushing the atmosphere into full dark gothic mode.
Particularly in the seated pose, conveying Camille's effortless composure and aloof presence relied not only on facial control, but also on deliberate hand placements. Resting a gloved hand lightly beneath the chin or draping it casually over the armrest infused the final shots with richer dramatic tension.
During post-production, we avoided heavy filter manipulation, mainly fine-tuning contrast and saturation to preserve the authentic textures of the fabrics—such as the trench coat's drape and the rigid sheen of metallic accents—keeping the entire series clean and three-dimensional.
Having the opportunity to participate in the Arknights: Endfield creator support campaign and carefully revisit every character design detail was a wonderful experience. From wig styling and body painting to donning props and capturing light and shadow, preparing this Camille cosplay took over half a month. Discussing the costume structure with fellow creators, everyone agreed that this blend of post-apocalyptic and gothic elements is visually captivating, making this a deeply fulfilling recreation in Arknights cosplay.
