[Chen Qianyu Cosplay] Arknights: Endfield Photoshoot Sharing

Wearing this outfit outdoors for this photoshoot set, I specially chose a mountain forest featuring a waterside, natural greenery, and stone-carved walkways. The mottled calligraphy on the stone walls and surrounding vines created an interesting visual contrast with the technological feel of the character's clothing.

The details of this Anime-style fashion outfit are actually very refined. The upper body is a white-and-blue color-blocked halter style, with geometric cutouts at the neckline that make it breathable while visually elongating the neck. The small blue bow and black straps decorating the chest add layers to the simple color-blocking. The lower pleated skirt has a light texture, with irregular abstract white prints on the fabric and red skirt trim acting as a finishing touch, presenting just the right color saturation under natural outdoor light. What surprised me most was the grey electronic panel prop on the side of the waist, whose simulated buttons were so realistic I couldn't help touching them repeatedly during the shoot.

Besides the tech-style weapon in hand, the most eye-catching prop was probably that thick simulated tail. The scales are dark blue, with a striking row of red fur along the spine. Holding it felt not only moderate in weight, but its material was soft enough to pose in many natural wrapping motions. The beast horns on the head featured a black-and-blue gradient, with a touch of pink floral decor at the base for a bit of playfulness. The mechanical knee pads on the legs and black tall boots added combat heft, making the overall posture look very upright.

The weather turned out great during shooting; sunlight filtered through tree leaves onto my body, creating dappled light and shadows. The blue-and-white color scheme of the outfit looked exceptionally clean in this natural environment. We tried several different camera angles and poses this time—such as holding the weapon ready for action, pointing a finger directly at the lens for interactive immersion, or holding the tail with both hands in a relaxed state. In terms of action, I strived to fit her original personality traits, being both confident and crisp, yet with a lively spirit.

Outdoor photography takes a huge toll on physical stamina. To avoid crowds and find this quiet waterside corner, we walked back and forth many times. Outdoor lighting changes rapidly; to wait for optimal natural light, we were constantly adjusting positions, touching up makeup, and re-donning protective gear. Although there were plenty of insects, thankfully the vegetation and water scenery here matched the tone of this outfit nicely. During post-processing, emphasis was placed on retaining skin texture, deepening the sharpness of the metallic knee pads while highlighting subtle details like garment seam lines and the prop panel.

Receiving these costumes and props, I could immediately feel the maker's care—the smoothness of zippers and alignment of fabric prints were handled remarkably well. Putting on this gear and standing by the forest and pond gave a deeply immersive feeling. Wearing a halter style paired with a pleated skirt can be quite picky on body proportions, but wearing it didn't look bulky at all. Combining mechanical elements with the wilderness environment this time felt like completing a visual practice I am thoroughly satisfied with. The shooting process was full of challenges, but seeing the realism presented by the character under natural light in the final shots made it all completely worth it.
