This Momomiya Ichigo pink idol stage costume and cat-ear styling took about half a month to prepare, from wig trimming to accessory matching.

Let's talk about the wig first. To achieve that fluffy yet layered look in the photos, I bought two pink wigs of different lengths to trim. When trimming the sideburns and bangs, I intentionally maintained an airy feel. The cat ears were pre-purchased as semi-finished products, then fixed to the headband with hot glue and finally integrated with the wig. Because of the strong contrast between the black-blue and pink, a lot of thought went into styling so the cat ears wouldn't look too rigid.

Regarding the costume, the pink strapless dress is made of a slightly lustrous satin material, and the red fluff at the neckline along with the waist-cinching design impose certain demands on the body shape. The golden bell choker and red neck ring around the neck are the soul of the look, and the gloves were chosen in a deep red matte leather, which feels more textured than glossy surfaces, paired with red high-heeled long boots for a very unified overall color scheme. To wear it to its best effect, I specially adjusted my diet and posture before the shoot to make my shoulder and neck lines look smoother.

For the makeup, pink-toned contact lenses were chosen to make the gaze more focused. The eye makeup used pink and red eyeshadow for a gradient blend with a touch of fine shimmer, creating a gorgeous sheen under the lighting. The base makeup pursued translucency to highlight the skin's natural texture, and the lip makeup opted for a slightly dewy pink. Although the photos underwent a Japanese magazine style layout, the makeup details still hold up in magnified images.

During the shoot, the photographer wanted that Japanese magazine style sweet atmosphere, so a simple light-colored background was chosen with softer lighting to highlight the subject's own colors. Throughout the shooting process, facial expression management had to constantly maintain an energetic vibe; the gaze couldn't be too sharp since the character setup itself is a very lively and adorable girl. When posing, to showcase the clothing's layering, I used more gestures like raising hands, propping the chin, and jumping—such as the shot lying on the pink background propping the chin, which required core strength to hold up, otherwise it would easily look stiff. The pairing of leather gloves and long boots added a touch of crisp sharpness to the sweet overall styling.

Additionally, this all-pink styling relies heavily on ambient lighting; if the light is too harsh, the costume's saturation would clip, so before the shoot, I communicated the lighting plan with the photographer, using a white softbox plus a reflector to restore the original color of the outfit as much as possible. The entire shooting process went smoothly. Although it was a studio shoot, the lighting and set design coordinated wonderfully, resulting in a very high output rate of good photos. Though the process was somewhat tiring, seeing every detail perfectly rendered in the final images made all the preparation feel worthwhile. This energetic styling also made me thoroughly enjoy the shoot, and I look forward to trying more characters of different styles in the future.
