[Dorothy Cosplay] This New Outfit in Goddess of Victory: Nikke Has Such an Amazing Vibe

Deciding to shoot this new outfit for Dorothy cosplay was pure love at first sight. On the day I arrived at the convention site for convention photography, seeing this pink-to-blue gradient look made me realize how incredible its texture would look under the high ceiling spotlights of the venue. The overall design blends Japanese-style Western dress elements with modern Lolita tailoring, making it exceptionally distinctive.

The fitted tailoring of the upper bodice beautifully outlines the silhouette, with neckline and chest ornaments matched perfectly. The light blue wide sash at the waist is striking, embellished with a pink-and-blue twisted braided cord holding small charms, making the waist a sharp visual focal point. Most distinctive are the voluminous wide sleeves transitioning smoothly from pink to teal-blue with soft color blending. Exquisite lace trims adorn both the cuffs and skirt hemline; every detail is meticulously executed, showing the immense thought put into crafting this garment.

The lower half features a multi-layered ruffled short skirt, its fluffy layering ideally suited for showcasing dynamic motion before the lens. To complement this lively yet elegant Anime cosplay look, I chose to pair it with opaque white pantyhose and white chunky-heeled Mary Jane shoes. The shoes feature delicate buckles and a substantial sole, which elongates lower body proportions while adding grounding weight to the airy dress, avoiding a top-heavy appearance. Under the photographer's low-angle upward shots, this combination made the leg lines look remarkably long, and together with the mirror reflection on the smooth hall floor, my overall body proportions looked beautifully balanced.

This photoshoot was held inside a large indoor convention hall. Overhead was a steel frame ceiling lined with dense clusters of circular bright spotlights; although the lighting was complex, it lent a crisp clarity and transparency to the frame. The background was blurred, revealing faint outlines of passersby and exhibition booths, preserving the lively and realistic atmosphere of the convention site while keeping the main subject clearly prominent. Convention photography under such ambient light is quite challenging, but the photographer captured angles with great discernment, beautifully conveying the character's slightly distant yet gorgeous aura.

For detail fidelity, I specifically selected long pink hair with teal-blue streak-dyed accents at the tips and sides of the face, which, combined with customized floral headpieces, made the overall color harmony even more complete. I wore color contact lenses paired with eye makeup to make my gaze look deeper and more vivid. Although walking through the hall for hours in voluminous layered skirts and chunky heels was exhausting and made my feet sore, seeing the fluttering skirt hem and refreshing color scheme in the finished photos made all the effort feel completely worthwhile. The costume fabric is relatively light and breathable, making movement during shooting quite comfortable. The entire photoshoot experience went smoothly, and I personally love the final visual representation from Goddess of Victory: Nikke; I'll treat this look as an exciting new trial and will continue striving in reality to recreate character traits and costume textures with high precision.
