This photoshoot theme revolves around Dorothy from Goddess of Victory: Nikke, focusing on capturing the character's effortlessly lavish charm.
For the wig selection, high-saturation long pink wavy hair was used with great hair shine, topped with a pearl chain and 3D rose hair accessories to enrich visual detail.
For the costume, a dress dominated by white tulle and light pink was chosen. The lace ruffles at the neckline and cuffs are intricate, with semi-sheer mesh giving a subtle peek of the arms, while delicate pink floral patterns are embroidered on the chest and sleeves, creating a lavish yet ethereal atmosphere.
The lower half took the most effort: white lace-trimmed thigh-high stockings paired with cream-white stiletto lace-up heels. This configuration beautifully accentuates leg shape, elongating the visual proportions in various sitting or laying poses.
Various poses were attempted during the shoot. Sitting while holding a folding fan with a white base and gold patterns fits a classical, elegant temperament; looking back sideways while holding a white flower adds a soft, interactive touch; while laying down tests back control, displaying the flowing drape of the outfit and full body curves nicely.
The scene setup used abundant white and pink floral arrangements and wooden props, with a plush white rug providing a soft base below. The dark background behind contrasted sharply with warm wooden palace lanterns, making the pink hair and white outfit pop.
In terms of facial expression, Dorothy inherently carries a composed sense of pride. Therefore, smiles were pulled back during shooting, keeping my eyes soft yet confident, avoiding overly exaggerated expressions to fit the character's demeanor.
In the actual shooting workflow, frequent adjustments were needed due to the abundant hair and accessories, ensuring the wig didn't block my face in any frame and headpieces stayed in place. The folding fan and flowers served as hand props so my arms didn't look awkward in poses.
The photographer used soft lighting, setting diffuse light sources on the front and sides so the sheer tulle fabric wouldn't overexpose, while making the luster of the white tights cosplay on my legs look natural.
The shoot lasted several hours. Despite frequent adjustments, the final photos met expectations in quality. With rich costume accessories, the white tights and high heels combo paired with this courtly style dress created a harmonious, distinct visual effect.
For anime-style photography with complex lace and many accessories, post-processing requires handling many details, but the composition and lighting of raw shots basically established the main direction.
