[Momosuzu Nene cosplay] hololive Summer Pool Refreshing Photoshoot

Featuring Momosuzu Nene! This is the summer look I shot at the hololive booth on Day 2 of my Bilibili World trip. Actually, I had already planned to shoot this refreshing summer pool series before the convention. Even though the venue was an indoor set, the blue-and-white striped beach chairs and the highly realistic wave patterns on the backdrop wall, paired with the cool-toned lighting on site, instantly transported the atmosphere to the seaside. To match the character's bright and cheerful tone as much as possible, I specially chose a simple white cinched-waist dress with no extra patterns, relying solely on the waistline to outline my silhouette. The wide-brimmed white straw hat on my head was the crowning touch; the white three-dimensional flower decorations around the brim not only added detail but also beautifully framed my face, softening the facial contours. The white platform slides on my feet were also specially matched to echo the overall all-white outfit, while the platform also helped elongate my leg lines, making my proportions look absolutely amazing in full-body shots.

For the makeup and hair, I also put in a lot of thought. This time, the focus was entirely on the eyes and hair color. The gradient of the wig was handled very naturally, transitioning from a golden yellow at the crown to a pink-orange at the tips, which looked incredibly layered under the lights. Paired with emerald green contact lenses, my gaze instantly became highly focused and spirited. For the makeup, I deliberately kept a sheer, clean texture, applying blush slightly heavier than my daily routine to match the eyeshadow colors, hoping to present a healthy, vibrant look with a touch of that unique anime-style innocence.

During the shoot, the photographer was amazing at guiding my state. We worked in perfect harmony, trying out many different angles and poses. Sitting on that blue-and-white striped beach chair was the most relaxing part. Crossing my legs naturally showed a sense of summer vacation vibe that was both lazy and elegant; and when I raised my arms high and let the skirt drape naturally, we caught her playful side perfectly. There's also a close-up shot of me resting my chin on one hand, which is one of my personal favorites. I hope to convey the character's warm and soft personality traits through a gentle gaze and relaxed body language.

Actually, Day 2 of the convention was extremely packed, and it took a massive toll on my physical energy, but the moment I stepped onto the hololive booth and saw this beautifully decorated scene, all my fatigue felt instantly cured. Because the booth's top and side lights were handled beautifully, the light cast was incredibly soft with absolutely no harsh shadows, making my skin look translucent and natural, and even the glossiness of the wig turned out exceptionally well. To give the overall look more breathing room, I deliberately avoided stiff or rigid standing poses, keeping my shoulders as relaxed as possible so the photos would turn out casual and effortless.

The challenge of this private-outfit style pool shoot lies in balancing the character's recognizability with a casual, everyday feel. Without relying on too many complex props, we built the visual effects purely through the white dress, the straw hat, minor details, and the unique makeup and hair. I really love this cool yet warm feeling—the contrast of white and blue is crisp and clean, bringing a perfect sense of summer coolness. This experience also helped me gather more experience in cosplay photography, such as how to utilize the space within a scene and how to adjust expressions and gaze under different lighting conditions.
