Bringing March 7th's energetic vibe into the real streets for a shoot was quite a challenging street location attempt. The weather was clear today, and the abundant sunlight was perfect for showcasing this blue-and-white outfit with gradient purple shoulders. During the early preparations, I deliberately softened the pink hue of the wig to prevent it from looking overly fluorescent under the sun, while using hairspray to lock in the fluffy curves to preserve the features of the character's lively short hair for an accurate anime recreation.

When the official shooting began, we primarily wanted to highlight the character's dynamics and agility. To capture naturally relaxed poses, the photographer and I repeatedly tested our positioning at the street corner. The open turn-back glance photo that everyone sees is actually a combination of quick reaction times; my gaze and hand movement needed to fall into place simultaneously to freeze that confident look. The jumping action required even more attempts, using the abstract white graffiti on the ground as a base to adjust the flying skirt hem and the grip posture on the cyan prop in my hand to a comfortable state. When selecting photos during post-processing, I tried my best to preserve the original light and shadow, avoiding over-saturating or adding heavy filters. Because the clean blue-and-white color combination itself, coupled with the natural lighting of the outdoor environment, is already excellent for presenting the character's inherent traits.

Regarding the prop coordination, I used the blue camera in my hand as a visual anchor. Whether it was high-intensity running or close-up shots near the lens, this small item was used to reinforce her traveler identity. For the close-ups, a lightweight focal length was selected to blur the background to a certain extent, avoiding interference from street signs and railings, thereby clearly revealing the makeup details and the leather texture of the neck ornament.

Shooting outdoors comes with a very real issue: the uncontrollability of natural light and wind direction. Today, there were occasional gusts of strong wind, but fortunately, the flow of the hair strands in most of the final photos matched the expected messy look without seeming forced. The leather straps and metal buckles on the costume easily reflect light under direct harsh sunlight, so during post-processing, we balanced the relationship between light and shadow for these materials.

A huge part of this character's charm comes from her casual yet un-sloppy attitude, so I kept my expressions naturally happy without making overly exaggerated dramatic faces. The overall cosplay photography workflow was compact, taking a few hours from preparation to wrapping up, but seeing these high-tension visual records makes me feel that all the prior preparation was completely worth it.
