For this White studio photography session, I chose Trish Una from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind. Preparing this styling took a lot of thought; the pink short hair needed styling with distinct layers, especially the signature spiral curl on top, which required repeated angle adjustments to achieve the current look along with plenty of hairspray. The eye makeup used blue contact lenses, paired with deep eyeliner and reddish-brown lip makeup to stay as close to the character's aura as possible.
On the costume front, the black leather bandeau top has a strong texture, matched with a high-slit printed midi skirt featuring geometric symbols. The skirt's pattern is spliced from three colors—yellow, pink, and black—with special symbols embedded in each color block, making it visually very eye-catching. On my feet, I paired them with dark brown heeled long boots, the shafts featuring natural wrinkling. The accessories are abundant: a choker with the same printed pattern around the neck, inlaid with a green gemstone in the center; layered bracelets on the wrist featuring green gems and pearls; and multiple rings on the fingers. These details added overall layering before the lens.
A pure white background was used during the shoot; the advantage of White studio photography is the even lighting, which casts a delicate sheen on the leather top while allowing the green gemstones on the jewelry to reflect light brilliantly. When posing, to showcase Trish Una's slightly proud yet sexy aura, I tried kneeling, sideways, and high-leg-raise postures. For the single-knee kneeling pose in the first photo, wearing such tall heeled long boots makes maintaining balance genuinely difficult, keeping leg muscles constantly tense. To display the boot lines and the spread of the skirt hem, I repeatedly adjusted my center of gravity. When posing sideways in the third photo, the high-slit skirt just happened to showcase leg lines, paired with a hand gesturing under the chin—languid yet slightly aggressive. In close-up shots, it was necessary to mobilize emotions, conveying the character's alert state through the gaze.
Regarding the character Trish Una, I've always felt there is a sense of contrast about her. Just like that saying goes, soft things are harder to break. On the outside, she looks like a fragile girl, but when facing destiny, she displays astonishing resilience. This internal sense of power is what I always wanted to express during the shoot. To find that sharpness in the gaze, I practiced in front of the mirror many times until I could fully enter that emotional state.
During the shooting process, the exertion point of every movement and the focal point of every gaze were repeatedly scrutinized. Striking various poses while wearing long boots is physically exhausting, and I rested several times midway, but seeing the pure color of the White studio photography background perfectly combine with the character's intense tension on the screen made everything completely worthwhile. The overall photo output is deeply satisfying, with costume textures and prop details wonderfully presented under the lens.
