Holding this Sandrone costume in my hands, my visual imagination of Snezhnaya from Genshin Impact finally found a tangible form. To align with the puppet motif, I chose a pristine white studio backdrop for this photoshoot, stripping away cluttered environmental distractions so that visual attention would focus entirely on the garment's layering, textures, and the character's demeanor.

Let's talk details about this ensemble first. The top is structured as a fitted corset, color-blocked with deep crimson and white fabrics outlined in fine gold piping. To faithfully capture that exquisite yet aloof doll-like quality, the high-collared black choker at the neck serves as the finishing touch. The sleeves are designed as detached opera cuffs: the upper sections are snug sleeves in deep grey-blue, transitioning dramatically into wide, amber pleated bell cuffs below—this stark visual contrast enriches body language immensely. The skirt layers are extraordinarily complex, featuring a semi-sheer white overskirt embellished with gold filigree in front, flanked by expansive black and orange train cascades extending to the sides and rear; every fabric fold drapes beautifully whether walking or sitting.

Styling the wig took considerable dedication. The long ash-flaxen hair required precise trimming for the bangs and side strands, while the elaborate headdress adorned with ruffles and ribbons not only had to be anchored securely, but also set at just the right angle to avoid looking awkward. For makeup, I deepened the eye contours to evoke an ethereal, inhuman sense of mystery. On the legs, I wore pure white pantyhose paired with platform shoes accented with metallic buckles and red lacing, giving the overall styling a remarkably high level of completeness.

During the shoot, we set up a vintage single armchair complemented by a woven flower basket, several roses, and antique books featuring gold-foiled covers. Adding a floor lamp with a tasseled shade instantly transformed the white studio into an old-world European manor or a secluded private study. Within this setting, holding a teacup or leafing through a book allowed me to slip into character effortlessly.

Regarding pose references, because of the puppet motif, body posture needed to maintain a poised, elegant, yet slightly rigid and restrained demeanor. When crossing legs, careful attention was paid to both the line of the Stockings cosplay and keeping the spine upright. Cradling a teacup in both hands or holding a book while gazing down in contemplation required keeping a subtle distance in the eyes. The greatest advantage of White studio photography is perfectly even lighting: the costume's black, white, gold, and red tones contrasted crisply against the stark white canvas, capturing both intricate embroideries and metallic hardware with crystalline clarity.

Many friends ask whether shooting such heavily embellished attire in a white studio might look monotonous, but a pure white background actually amplifies the visual tension of the wardrobe itself. To achieve peak results, the photographer and I continuously calibrated postures—from expansive standing silhouettes to restrained seated poise, aided by on-set props—making the entire session remarkably smooth. Being able to bring out Sandrone's distinctive presence through this series of photos makes all the prior preparation and shooting entirely worthwhile.
