For this shoot of the NIKKE collaboration version of Asuka, we meticulously reproduced everything from the garment tailoring to the prop textures beforehand. The glossy red leather material reflected the convention lights beautifully, and the cut-out strapping on the chest alongside the layered skirt significantly accentuated the body silhouette. The black stockings, black high heels, and the left-eye patch served as key elements defining the character's cool aura. The venue was a massive white-vaulted building with polished marble flooring, providing an ideal setting for reflective lighting that lengthened the leg lines. Because the floor was crowded and visually chaotic, we opted for a wide aperture to blur the background and shot against the light, blending in naturally by catching the subtle halo created by natural light piercing the glass ceiling. While the lance prop was accurately crafted, holding it for extended periods was genuinely heavy—especially for the side-angled shoulder-carry poses in the fourth and fifth photos, which put real strain on the shoulders and arms. The side-kick pose in the sixth photo required precise balance; balancing in heels on a hard floor was definitely challenging, but fortunately, we captured a dynamic shot that perfectly highlighted the leg definition. The red skirt and black stockings produced a natural, flowing visual effect when moving or turning. During post-processing, we focused on preserving the original contrast between light and shadow, applying only subtle adjustments to skin tone and dress color to give the photos an authentic on-site convention feel rather than a staged studio look. The NIKKE collaboration design is exceptional, infusing more combative and cool-toned aesthetic elements, so I paid close attention to changing perspectives to find compositions that best showcase these details.
