I really want to share the shooting setting of today's photos with everyone. To faithfully capture Eriri's tsundere yet energetic schoolgirl vibe from Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend, we chose an equipment room in an old school building as our location. The sunlight was incredible that day; beams slanting in from the windows on the right cut distinct lines between light and shadow across the wooden walls, creating a natural lighting contrast perfect for great shots. Regarding the outfit, this sailor suit uniform was refined with thoughtful details: a white long-sleeved top paired with a deep navy pleated skirt, with the white stripes along the hem crisply visible. The black stockings held a subtle matte texture under the natural light, pairing with the blonde twin-tails for a remarkably cohesive visual aesthetic. The cosplayer is me, @不嘻嘻.

The props inside the equipment room turned out to be an unexpected delight—that metal utility cart overflowing with blue, yellow, and white volleyballs served as the ultimate interactive prop. To capture varied perspectives, the photographer lay flat on the floor to shoot from an ultra-low upward angle, having me climb directly into the cart. Honestly, climbing up and down inside a metal cage wearing a pleated skirt and stockings was anything but easy; I had to maintain my balance while keeping my facial expression in check so my gaze locked onto the lens. To catch the fleeting moment of fluttering hair and skirt folds, we repeatedly adjusted our poses and tried several takes. Volleyballs were scattered across the wooden floor around the cart, and the photographer intentionally used a shallow depth of field to blur the foreground volleyballs, making it easier for viewers' eyes to focus on the character. The raw dynamic energy captured in the photos was fantastic, and the rim light from the sun touching the hair strands made the wig look even fluffier and more voluminous.

This cosplay shoot gave me an even deeper connection to Eriri as a character. While I usually do standard studio portraiture, stepping into an interactive physical scene added so much genuine fun. Through body language and expressive gazes, a character usually confined to the 2D world was authentically brought to life in a real 3D environment. I hope this set of photos, filled with golden sunlight and youthful school energy inside the equipment room, brings everyone a refreshing visual experience.
