Putting on this childhood outfit of Huo Ling'er, with the red and white color-schemed clothes paired with double bun hair, I instantly felt like I had returned to the Stone Country. This time, I specially chose this studio with a traditional style atmosphere. The wooden lattices, dim paper lanterns, and the curling mist beneath all perfectly match that innocent, agile, and slightly quirky temperament of her childhood. I put some clever thoughts into the makeup and hair, using a combination of hair accessories and air bangs to focus the visual weight on the facial features. Paired with sleeves made of light gauze, the overall look is lightweight and lively.

Before the shoot, I communicated in detail with the photographer @半半子_ about the atmosphere we wanted for the frames, mainly wishing to capture that lively and unconstrained expression. The props prepared by the studio @南昌滑溜溜摄影棚 were very thoughtful. The embellishments of lotus leaves and lotus flowers made the entire scene richer in layers and stronger in its sense of storytelling. Whether sitting by the wooden corridor or turning sideways with a gentle smile, I could naturally interact with the mist to create a play between reality and illusion, adding a touch of etherealness belonging to the fantasy world. However, to achieve a natural effect, it's still necessary to remain relaxed in front of the lens at all times. Managing micro-expressions and the focus of one's gaze with proper control makes it closer to the charm that the original novel character should have.

The entire shooting process for this set of photos went very smoothly, and I truly enjoyed the experience of being completely immersed in the character. That clever spirit of Huo Ling'er's childhood, set against the wooden benches, swirling mist, and warm yellow paper lanterns, seemed to be materialized right here. In this final set of photos that everyone sees, the costume coordination and detail adjustments were repeatedly scrutinized, hoping to faithfully convey this exquisite traditional quality through these photos.
