The classic red and white battle outfit on me, paired with the blue-and-green colored rapier, is a seed planted many years ago when I first encountered Sword Art Online. The costume was custom-made as early as two years ago, but due to various busy schedules and venue adaptation issues, it had been hanging quietly in the closet. It wasn't until recently, when I discovered this outdoor block with European-style stone walls and arched architecture, that I felt it was time to let this battle attire see the light of day.

The accuracy of the costume itself is extremely high. The stitching between the collar and the top has been treated with a three-dimensional effect resembling armor. The silver metallic-textured accessories on the chest and waist add a sense of weight to the entire outfit, giving a tangible wearing experience when putting it on. The red and white sleeve bands on the shoulders and the long white gloves fit quite well, so daily walking doesn't feel restricted at all. The red pleated skirt paired with the white patchwork hem featuring cross patterns hanging down from both sides, as well as the over-the-knee socks with red stripes—when wearing this entire outfit and standing by the stone wall, the character's original temperament of coexisting combativeness and softness naturally emerges.

Not only the costume, but the preparation of makeup and wig was also the top priority for this photoset. To fit the character's setting, I chose a long straight wig with a gradient transition from light gold to orange-brown, trimmed into appropriate bangs and sidelocks on both sides, leaving a moderate space in front of the forehead. For the eye makeup, instead of using overly exaggerated colors, I used earthy tones as a base, paired with highly striking contact lenses to make the gaze look deeper and more high-spirited. Combined with the lightweight treatment of the base makeup, the overall presentation offers a clean yet slightly heroic atmosphere.

The shooting venue chosen this time is a stone-brick architectural block with a touch of exotic flavor and light retro texture, bearing a few resemblances to the scenes in the original work. Especially the photo standing in front of the courtyard in Figure 5—with the blessing of blue skies, white clouds, and natural lighting, my whole self completely blended into this scene. The cobblestone path, coarse stone walls, and tiny purple flowers by the wall did not overshadow the subject, but instead beautifully set off the character's central visual focus. During the Anime-style photography session, multiple angles were tried, such as the posture of holding the sword with one hand and looking back, standing confidently with hands on hips, and leaning slightly forward with both hands behind the back, all hoping to showcase the character's cute, gentle, and firm sides simultaneously.

This obsession with the outfit that has been kept for two years is thoroughly fulfilled in today's photography record under natural light. Although the process of preparing the scene, putting on the wig, and adjusting the details of the clothes could be tedious, the moment the right scenery was found and the shutter was pressed, it felt like all previous preparations were worth it. Being able to interpret and record this classic battle attire in my own way is a highly meaningful thing in itself for an Anime cosplay project. I hope the images presented this time can bring a comfortable visual experience to those who see them.
