This time, I'm directly posting some daily selfies and a portion of finished prints of my Maomao cosplay taken over this period, while syncing the specific details about the partner I've been wanting to find. P2 features a collage of four photos in different states, which can be seen as a display of my multifaceted understanding of this character.
My height is around 158cm. Since I've always wanted to cosplay Maomao's original outfit and some spin-off settings, if paired with Jinshi's setting from "The Apothecary Diaries", I'd hope for a relatively noticeable height difference to restore more interactive vibes between the characters. Regarding partner preferences, what I care about most is the direction of post-production. I don't really like the digital-painting style of post-production; that heavy-stroke texture easily eats up the original photo details. I personally prefer natural skin texture presentation and transparency, and I dread the kind of effect where layers are forcefully stacked just for the sake of editing, leading to inconsistent textures. Natural makeup is fine—not too thick, try to fit the character's temperament, and I will also try to adjust filters softly when doing my own post-production editing later.
Actually, the most interesting part of the photography process is finding the character's own traits amidst light and shadow changes. When shooting these two sets of different stylings in P2, I deliberately made some attempts in places with relatively soft light, wishing to capture a casual yet vivid daily atmosphere. Especially for the two photos of the ancient style photoshoot, a warm tone was used as the main light source indoors, with side-backlighting outlining the character's silhouette. Paired with the flower props in hand, I'm still quite satisfied with the overall ambient feel, and I tried to preserve this soft light and shadow transition as much as possible during photo editing.
For future Shanghai photoshoot bookings and outings, my hard requirement is strictly locked by gender—only female partners. In addition, I hope the other person is a mature adult, preferably already in the workforce or having a relatively independent living status. I don't really want to form groups with unestablished minors, mainly due to worries about gaps in cognition and communication. My schedule is very flexible; weekdays or weekends are basically fine for arranging shoots or going out to play. If there are sisters in Shanghai whose aesthetics and work quality are around the same level as mine, I really hope we can discuss composition and colors together, or simply bring some props out for street snaps, have a meal, and take some daily photos of each other.
Regarding the characters I want to focus on and continue investing in later, besides Maomao's original outfit, I have also considered combinations and pairings of related settings like Zicui and Loulan. I hope to meet a partner whose aesthetics and pace match mine in the future to complete more interesting creations together. Currently, the effect displayed in P2's finished prints serves to introduce the topic; I personally love the clean texture under natural light, and I'm continuously optimizing my makeup and hairstyle treatment to make every print look as pleasant and natural as possible.
If there are friends with time and ideas, you can directly leave a comment or send a private message to chat more about requirements. I've also done some simple homework on shooting venues and outdoor locations, so we can choose locations together or do some plot-oriented small designs. Overall, I don't reject any creative ideas, as long as both parties' aesthetics are above a certain baseline. I've simply organized some thoughts and statuses from this period, hoping to meet the right person to have a great time playing together.
