The highlight of this outfit lies in the abundant use of plush elements, including animal ears with black spots on top, dramatic white fluffy arm sleeves, and that super long giant tail behind me. In convention venues with plentiful directional light sources, plush textures easily capture a fluffy, soft visual feel, which, combined with the tri-color black, white, and gold color blocking, gives the overall look depth without being overly cluttered. The main garment is a black sleeveless top featuring gold piping and frog buttons at the collar, accented by large golden bells and long ribbons on both sides, giving the entire look a strong visual focal point.
For makeup and hair, I selected a fair overall base paired with reddish-pink eyeshadow and blue contact lenses, giving my eyes a clear, translucent look. The white wig was styled straight and smooth; due to its generous volume, it didn't look messy even in crowded convention conditions, maintaining a stable center of gravity alongside golden hair accessories. During shooting, we primarily utilized diffuse lighting in the hall, which struck naturally without harsh shadows, beautifully highlighting the 3D texture of the plush ornaments.
As for props, I prepared a long pipe, which naturally emitted a languid aura with subtle angle tweaks in hand. Throughout the shoot, I attempted several distinct poses—such as a classic seated position with a hand lift, simulating cat paws with both hands in a "meow punch" gesture, or taking side close-ups holding the pipe to add storytelling texture. Combining these poses with props gave the Convention photos lively variations beyond rigid standing poses.
Speaking of outfits, I must mention the white leggings in this look; this material provides a visual extension similar to White stockings while offering better warmth and snag resistance. With heavy foot traffic and frequent walking at convention halls, white leggings easily get dirty, but the final output turned out great. Paired with a white plush carpet prop, the entire lower body formed a clean color block in photos, creating a wonderful visual balance against the black top.
During on-site shooting, quite a few fellow fans and passersby gathered around; elements like plush, bells, and pearl bracelets made subtle sounds or fluttered with movement, creating a lively sense of interaction. Capturing Convention photos heavily relies on the photographer's quick snapshots, as exhibition lighting constantly shifts, yielding subtle variations in skin tone and texture across angles. Thanks to my partner's patience, many snapshot angles felt very natural without stiff posing. Like the seated pose in the first photo, maintaining a spread tail while focusing hand gestures and gaze before the lens required tweaking several times to find the most comfortable state.
In early preparations for this look, the hardest part was balancing accessory weight and attachment stability. Though the bells looked large, their actual weight was manageable; however, securing animal ears, bells, wig, arm sleeves, and tail altogether while walking and shooting for hours at a convention was a minor test of stamina and patience for Animal ears cosplay. Yet seeing the quality presented in the final Convention photos made all early preparations completely worth it. The charm of convention photos lies precisely here—faithfully recording characters vivid and alive in real-world environments rather than relying solely on post-processing edits.
