[Shimoe Koharu cosplay] White Glossy Textures in Blue Archive

Putting on and taking off this white glossy bodysuit was quite an exhausting experience. The back zipper required a partner's help to zip up, and the material fits extremely tight against the skin, so every time I raised my arms, I had to adjust the stress on the edges first. The deep V-neckline on the chest and the red string around the neck served as the visual focal point of the upper body; tying it required repeated adjustments for symmetry, as even a slight tilt would make the balance look off. To achieve such crisp, clean color tones in a pure white studio, I confirmed in advance whether the white outfit's reflections would overexpose. Fortunately, the photographer set up the light positions with great accuracy, giving this glossy material a jelly-like sheen while preserving the fine woven texture of the fabric.

For hair accessories, I selected plush rabbit ears paired with black feather wings on both sides of the head. Although the overall look appears light and airy, actually securing them onto the wig required several hidden snap clips to stay stable. The bangs of the pink wig were trimmed fairly straight; inside the studio, if the air conditioner blew too hard, they easily obscured the eyes, so I used hairspray to set them in place before shooting. For makeup, red contact lenses were the soul of the look, which, paired with pink-toned eyeshadow and a subtle blush, made the expressions in front of the lens look innocent yet softly mysterious. For the face makeup, I deliberately retained the skin's original texture without excessive smoothing, allowing the colors of the makeup to appear clearer in post-processing.

The ruffled arm sleeves are separate detached accessories, secured by clear shoulder straps and body tension. Raising my arms caused the cuffs to slide down easily, so when posing with larger movements, I had to consciously control arm height. The lower body was paired with white over-the-knee stockings with a white ribbon bow tied on one thigh. With a pure white platform and pure white high-key lighting, full-body shots easily risk overexposing the white stockings. However, in the final photos, this high-contrast lighting made the character styling appear exceptionally dimensional, beautifully emphasizing body contours and lines under studio lights.

Regarding props, besides the black handbag, I held a small pink plush toy. Holding this small pink plush in hand made for great interaction; I designed several actions like raising it above my head with one hand while tugging its ear, or pinching the lower hem of the neckline as shown in the photos, which broke up any stiffness in posing. During shooting, I cooperated with the photographer's requests, constantly adjusting the angle of leaning forward—especially with the deep V-neckline, which shifted out of place after several movements, requiring me to constantly check downward. Though the entire process was somewhat tiring, everyone collaborated smoothly, and the final photos captured the exact vibe I wanted—pure, clean, yet with a touch of subtle allure.
