This shoot features Dorothy from Goddess of Victory: Nikke. We chose an indoor wooden floor setting with Japanese-style architecture as the primary environment. The overall primary color palette was set to bright, translucent white and light wood tones to highlight the character's soft pink hair and hair accessories. For the costume, a pure white off-the-shoulder ruffled miniskirt was selected. The shoulders feature cutout details adorned with thin straps and white ruffles along the upper bustline. The sleeve design is very distinctive—puffy sleeves made of translucent sheer tulle, as light and airy as clouds, which, paired with the softbox lighting from the left, beautifully reveals the light-transmitting layers of the tulle. The neck is adorned with a lavender-and-white bow choker, whose two trailing ribbons fill the empty space around the neck and chest, forming a gentle complement to the pink hair. The lower half features a white thigh-highs outfit with opaque white stockings. The shoes are ultra-high-heeled white platform pumps—a silhouette quite common in 2D fashion. A hint of red is faintly visible along the edges of the shoe soles; in Photo 3, this detail subtly echoes the tangerines scattered by my feet, creating a playful touch of color. The hair was styled into twin buns, with textured pink strands and face-framing wisps along the sideburns that flatter the face shape.
The orange tangerines in the frame serve as essential props. These tangerines are scattered casually along the edge of the wooden floor, with one held in my hand. The high saturation of orange pops vibrantly against the wood and white tones, not only catching the eye but transforming the overall scene from a simple "photoshoot" into a lifelike, narrative record. For shooting angles, especially in Photos 2 and 3, an extremely low-angle upward shot was utilized. This perspective in anime-style photography often delivers strong visual impact, making the legs—especially the lines of the white thigh-highs outfit—look remarkably long and slender. Equipment coordination was also crucial; we used a Panasonic camera and a Zhiyun stabilizer. In low-angle shooting, a stable frame is the foundation of high output quality. The Panasonic camera excelled at controlling white highlights; the white dress and stockings retained full textural detail and delicate shadow transitions without clipping under intense light. To create this lighting, I placed a professional softbox on the left side of the scene, casting even, soft illumination that rendered facial skin smooth and luminous. During shooting, to capture a relaxed and languid demeanor without looking forced, simply sitting on the wooden platform or gently lifting a leg with the tangerine served as both a focal anchor and an interactive medium.
The white high heels are actually quite high, demanding careful balance on the wooden floor; once accustomed, however, one can discover an elegant posture in maintaining equilibrium. In addition, the makeup was specifically matched to the pink contact lenses, giving the gaze a lively 2D expressiveness, paired with peach-toned lips. This shoot did not chase overly complex movements, aiming instead to convey a quiet, poised, and slightly mischievous mood. The character Dorothy—or rather, the 'Doro' meme itself—carries an inherent gap moe, and this contrast is wonderfully suited for presentation in a clean, domestic setting. There are no exaggerated special effects in the photos; most results stem naturally from practical physical lighting. The white thigh-highs outfit paired with white high heels, combined with the color collision between pink hair and orange tangerines, creates a very high-key palette. Controlling exposure and color balance properly delivers a clean, crisp, yet delightfully cute visual aesthetic. Post-processing for this set focused mainly on delicate color grading, maintaining a warm-toned foundation while adding translucency so the whites don't appear chalky, but retain the organic texture of ambient light. The wood grain on the table and floor, along with the light filtering through the white curtains in the background, all form an integral part of this cosplay sharing project. Putting on this outfit, holding the tangerine, and completing this shoot was truly a comfortable and rewarding creative experience.
