When I received this costume, my first impression was that the fabric texture and tailoring were very precise. The fitted cut paired with the diamond cutout design on the chest—though secured with anti-exposure tape during the shoot—successfully preserved that cute yet subtly charming atmosphere in the final photos.
In terms of accessories, both the iconic red geometric halo overhead and the black wings tucked in the hair and behind the waist greatly enhanced the character's recognizability. For the hairstyle, I chose a light pink long straight wig whose bangs frame the face nicely, while the black feather-like accents near the hairline are key highlights of the look, adding to the character's lively feel. The eye makeup slightly emphasized reddish-pink gradients, which, paired with a lightweight, translucent base, better restored the texture of the original character illustration.
The white nurse cap paired with white over-the-knee stockings secured with garter straps might look very 2D in everyday clothing, but in Anime cosplay photography, this White stockings nurse styling sculpts the leg lines beautifully. The small band-aid applied to the side of the thigh is a detailed easter egg—leaving it uncovered during shooting actually adds a lively, everyday storytelling feel. The white high heels subtly elongate body proportions, giving each step in the studio a touch more presence.
The shooting environment featured blue medical curtains and a white hospital bed; the simple, clean monochromatic backdrop harmonized perfectly with the white Nurse outfit. During the shoot, the most tiring part was holding slender thermometer or syringe props while maintaining a relaxed and natural expression. In particular, turning back to look over the shoulder required engaged core muscles to keep the back straight and allow the black wings to spread gracefully.

For this set, I tried sitting, lying, and kneeling poses, each conveying distinct emotional nuances. For the pose lying on the bed, I deliberately made peace signs with both hands, aiming to convey Koharu's lively, tsundere, and playfully cute personality to the lens.
Posing seated on the bedside focused more on highlighting poise and a touch of professionalism, where the transition between the garter straps and the nurse dress hem anchored the visual framing. The final kneeling pose was a true test of gaze expression. Overall, this Shimoe Koharu cosplay shoot went very smoothly. The styling team provided great suggestions on wig trimming and costume fitting, allowing me to focus more on embodying the character's persona. While the attire was not heavy, keeping the chest cutout pattern crisp and upright required considerable preparation and taping.
The "angel in white" concept combined with her specific halo and wings is visually harmonious. The entire shoot and post-production retouching centered on restoring the character's original essence without relying on overly exaggerated filters. Whether out of love for the character or the excitement of trying this Nurse outfit, this Anime cosplay photography experience was truly unforgettable. Through this set of photos, I hope everyone can appreciate a more three-dimensional Shimoe Koharu that stays true to the original Blue Archive design.
