This look actually took quite a long time to prepare from makeup test to final execution, especially this high-gloss black bodysuit, which had extremely strict lighting requirements during shooting; a slight oversight would cause blown-out whites or glare spots. Overall, the makeup and styling leaned toward a gorgeous yet slightly mysterious vibe. The red bow tie on the chest was very eye-catching, paired with a white collar, creating a strong visual contrast with the black patent leather material. The lower half's Black tights outfit was one of the highlights of this shoot—this material gives off a soft sheen under warm light sources, which, combined with the texture of the tights themselves, makes the leg lines look exceptionally smooth.
The details of the headpiece were actually quite hard to secure; a black bunny ear styling combined with a golden halo structure and a tilted small top hat created a rich sense of layering on top of the head. During shooting, care had to be taken not to block frontal light, otherwise the look would appear flat. The first set was shot at the casino table, where scattered red and green chips enriched the color palette of the frame. I chose a cross-legged, knee-bent sitting posture, which maximized the texture of the Black tights outfit while also testing physical flexibility. The second setup moved to a retro wooden bar counter, where the wine cabinet and various liquor bottles behind provided excellent depth of field, seamlessly blending the character into the environment. The prop master prepared a goblet glass and a bottle of liquor. When I casually rested my hand on the edge of the wooden bar or sat manipulating the black cane in my hand, that lazy yet controlling atmosphere was instantly ignited.
During shooting, the photographer kept having me look for camera presence—gazing directly into the lens with confidence and flirtatiousness. Perhaps because eye control was on point, friends said my expressions in these photos had a feeling of "flirting with the viewer." Paired with wide white upturned gloves and black buttons on the gloves, it really gave off the vibe of a gorgeous magician or queen. The makeup specifically emphasized red highlights around the eyes, combined with long, light-golden curly hair and thick bangs, creating a doll-like delicate feel. However, patent leather clothing is indeed less comfortable than daily wear; slightly larger movements created a sense of restraint, and the material is completely non-breathable, causing sweat after shooting for a short while, so many poses required slow fixing to look natural. The warm light atmosphere of the scene was wonderful; dim yellow light striking the patent leather outlined clothing contours in specular reflections. To shoot this set well, we tested several different lighting positions, needing both patent shine and avoiding overexposure on face highlights. By the final bar counter set, I was actually a bit exhausted, but seeing preview results made it feel completely worth it. This look merges the playfulness of a bunny girl, the dignity of a butler, and the arrogance of a casino executive—a truly fresh cosplay experience that successfully interprets this Blue Archive character's temperament.
