【Shimoe Koharu cosplay】An afternoon casual snapshot of Blue Archive, cozy sunlight and refreshing outfit - Image 1

With the afternoon sunlight and the gentle breeze at the outdoor cafe, this Shimoe Koharu cosplay shoot was naturally arranged in this cozy setting. Compared to posing under flashes in a studio, this outdoor photography method combining real street scenes and natural light always brings a unique mood. There is no need for exaggerated poses; simply sitting relaxed blends the character's vitality into the afternoon.

The outfit I chose this time focuses on a refreshing and casual style. The white off-shoulder cotton top highlights the collarbone nicely, while the red thin string accents at the neckline brighten up the overall look. The frayed denim shorts on the bottom are vintage and casual, and the iconic black feather wings accessory at the waist instantly pulls this casual cosplay outfit back into the game character's design. To make the overall color palette more harmonious, I paired it with dark wooden beaded bracelets and a thin red cord.

The pink-and-white wig looks very light and airy under the natural light, complemented by a clean, clear foundation and soft eye makeup to showcase the character's liveliness and vigor. That orange halo appears even more translucent under the natural light and shadow, injecting soul into this photo. The sitting posture is also quite casual—legs slightly curled, one hand naturally resting on the chest, barefoot on the edge of the chair—making the overall atmosphere very relaxed.

The photographer @boe @花となれ captured the moments with great sensitivity. The sunlight poured in from the side, casting a layer of warm soft light over the entire photo. Although I opted for a single-photo presentation this time without a large quantity of shots from multiple angles, the lighting, composition, and expression in this single shot are enough to convey that leisurely weekend vibe.

Speaking of the character Shimoe Koharu, although there have been quite a few offline collaboration events recently, I prefer recreating the character's everyday life. This cozy time sitting at a cafe basking in the sun perfectly matches the youthful campus atmosphere in Blue Archive. Wearing the character's signature accessories while blending into real-life scenes breaks the fourth wall in a way that feels more expressive than pure studio replication.

When doing this outdoor photography shoot, we didn't actually make complicated plans; we simply pressed the shutter while the sunlight was just right. Sometimes the more relaxed you are, the easier it is to get great shots. I hope this photo facing the sunlight can convey this refreshing comfort of the afternoon. Without extravagant lighting or fussy posing, the character's charm often lies in that moment of natural expression.
