The moment I picked up this gun and briefcase, I felt I had perfectly switched into this character's state. Today, I want to share a set of Blue Archive Misaki cosplay that has been in preparation for a long time. Since we wanted to recreate the essence of this character, this set of photos focuses on a "coldly elegant" and "composed" temperament, while retaining that sense of classical Eastern beauty.

Let's talk about the costume details first. The main piece is a dark blue high-slit cheongsam, the fabric having a low-profile silky sheen, and the most eye-catching feature is undoubtedly the finely embroidered golden dragon pattern on it. This cheongsam is tailored to fit the body perfectly; the sleeveless design combined with a high slit, paired with black glossy high heels, visually elongates the overall body proportions, looking clean and sharp. For the outerwear, a loose striped robe in a purple-grey tone was chosen. During the shoot, I intentionally draped it halfway over my shoulders, giving off a casual, unconstrained freedom without disrupting the original slim silhouette of the cheongsam.

Regarding hair and makeup, to fit the character, the hairstyle was done into her characteristic grey double hair buns with straight bangs on the forehead, looking highly capable. The iconic large silver-white crescent-shaped accessory on top of the head serves as the visual anchor of the entire look. The craftsmanship is very solid, and once worn, the aura changes instantly. For the makeup, I deliberately lowered the color saturation to emphasize the three-dimensional contours, keeping the eye makeup cool-toned to highlight a sharp and firm gaze, which delivers the character's composure of strategizing and having everything under control.

The props for this shoot were also a highlight; along with the black briefcase, I brought a long prop gun. When carrying the case in my left hand and holding the gun in my right, accented by black leather gloves, the conflicting vibe of a "business agent" and a "mafia boss's daughter" instantly emerges.

The studio environment was intentionally arranged into a classical Chinese study, with dark solid wood antique shelves, bonsai, red berry branches, a birdcage, and warm yellow paper lanterns. We used a warm-toned side backlighting to outline the cheongsam, giving the entire frame a retro and mysterious cinematic texture. I have to say, the photographer's grasp of light and shadow was incredibly precise, blending the depth of the scene with the character's temperament perfectly. Although the shooting process was exhausting—maintaining an upright standing posture in high heels while holding a somewhat heavy prop gun—seeing the final photos made me feel that all the hard work was completely worth it. I hope everyone can feel this character's mysterious yet powerful aura through this professional anime-style photography.
