[Asuna cosplay] Blue Archive's Little Zombie: Convention Wrap-up

Ever since finalizing this Asuna Little zombie look, my primary efforts were poured into faithfully restoring every detail. The yellow talisman paper with red lettering is crucial to the character design; to match the original lore, I adjusted the font proportions repeatedly and anchored it into the hidden layers of the wig using fine copper wire, preventing it from swinging erratically while walking. The pale blonde wig accented by blue ribbons on both sides is very distinctive; to capture that airy, slightly translucent layered texture, I added subtle curls to the hair ends.

Selecting the wardrobe elements required substantial thought. The chest panel features an expansive print—purple auspicious clouds, a pink sun, and white cranes—which retained vibrant color fidelity even under complex convention hall lighting. The neckline adopts a bright blue mandarin collar trimmed with black lace; this contrasting palette allowed the outfit to pop cleanly against crowded backdrops. The long pearl necklace hanging around the neck is made of two stitched strands tipped with red bead accents; because it carries noticeable weight that can tug down the collar, it required careful positioning.

The convention hall atmosphere was quite noisy and crowded, packed with long queues in the photo lanes during the morning. To stay in tune with the little zombie persona, I maintained relatively relaxed, effortless postures. Several photographers set up light stands and softboxes nearby, so I borrowed their side lighting angles for several shots. The trickiest challenge during the session was striking aesthetic poses without letting the heavy pearl chain obscure the chest print. Furthermore, to ensure the colored contact lenses looked true to canon under harsh camera flashes, I packed two extra pairs in subtle gradient variations.

While taking a break in the rest area, fellow fans came by asking about the fabric textures and talisman construction, which was very rewarding. Constantly moving around and posing all day was physically tiring, but the overall presentation achieved great fidelity. Capturing the character's subtle aura tested both sitting and standing postures, especially since the black lace is semi-sheer and required delicate adjustments whenever making broader movements.

With the convention wrapped, I've packed away the costume and wig. Reviewing these Convention photos, I made minor tweaks to the pearl chain's length, making it even easier to wear for future shoots. Navigating dense foot traffic and harsh venue lights to capture satisfying angles made for a smooth, memorable experience. Bringing a character prepared with such dedication into a lively setting carries a wonderful sense of ritual. For my next outdoor photoshoot, I might bring a small folding fan to enrich the visual storytelling even further.
