The Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo and the Wuthering Waves 1st Anniversary Sound Festival have finally come to a successful conclusion. Bringing Aria to the event this time was a deeply meaningful photoshoot experience for me. When I decided to cosplay this character, I immediately began pondering how to capture her vivid yet empowered demeanor. The headpiece design is exceptionally complex; styling the pair of silver curved horns and elf ears took a lot of effort, repeatedly adjusting the wearing angles hoping to present the most natural state before the camera lens. For the red wig, I chose a layered burgundy shade, trimming wispy strands that, together with red accents at the corners of the eyes and cheeks, give the facial makeup a light, breathable feel while creating a striking contrast with the cyan-and-white palette of the outfit.

Today's outfit styling features numerous details; the interplay of peacock blue and white makes the whole suit look remarkably textured under the convention lights. The waist-cinching corsetry at the chest, combined with gold cutout ornaments, flatters the figure while adding stage presence. The paneled sleeves are a detail I particularly adore—cyan-green fluttering sleeves paired with puffy, sheer bell sleeves, layered with white ruffled cuffs, create rich dimension and convey a light, dynamic motion whenever I raise my hands. For the lower body pairing, I deliberately highlighted over-the-knee high boots with dark boot tops trimmed in pastel cyan, echoing the skirt patterns. This setup is convenient for walking around the convention while nicely showcasing the character's vibrancy.

As for props, the golden staff I held was quite large and required considerable effort to control its center of gravity. The top of the staff resembles blooming petals or leaves, paired with a ring-like structure; whether held horizontally or vertically during poses, it serves as an excellent visual focal point. Carrying this big piece around the convention was tiring, but many visitors coming for photo ops loved the prop, making all the preparation feel worthwhile.

This event coincided with Wuthering Waves' 1st Anniversary Sound Festival, and the atmosphere on site was enthusiastically beyond expectation. Many players recognized Aria at first glance, even running over to recite her fun voicelines with me or clap along to her iconic melody. Although Rinascita has its own wondrous existence in lore, here at Guangzhou Firefly, I felt everyone's warmth and love for the character.

Posing before the booth, I tried several different postures—such as wide-arm waving freeze-frames or playful poses resting my chin on one hand. The photographer brilliantly captured the flow of light and shadow on the costume in motion. The entire process required maintaining the character's demeanor while ensuring optimal angles for the outfit and props, which truly tested body coordination.

The venue setup at Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo was also full of fairytale charm. Colorful balloons and gift boxes in the background matched the fantasy tone of this outfit perfectly, rendering highly atmospheric photos without needing excessive edits. Although a full day of hair, makeup, and shooting drained a lot of energy, looking at every satisfying shot in the camera made me realize this is where the magic of Casual cosplay lies. Every time I cosplay, it's an experience of resonating with the character's soul; only by holding onto passion for the work and character can one present the most authentic photography.
