[Shirasu Azusa Cosplay] Blue Archive's Shirasu Azusa: Wuhan Comic Convention Photos Sharing

Taking this Shirasu Azusa outfit to the Wuhan Comic Convention at Ring Universe was a deeply fulfilling experience. This shoot was part of an offline event in Wuhan, where the venue had ample lighting—especially the floor-to-ceiling windows and artificial illumination, which provided superb live event lighting conditions.

First, let's talk about the costume and prop preparation. Shirasu Azusa's uniform features a predominantly pure white color scheme with black-and-white color blocking. The large white sailor collar paired with a black skirt and cuffs feels light and airy yet carries a distinct layered depth. For the wig, I selected a highly accurate long straight silver-white style; to keep the halo support bracket secure on top of my head, I built a hidden anchoring structure inside the wig so it wouldn't tilt or shift easily during a full day of walking and posing at the event.

The prop paired during the shoot was a white tactical firearm with a black magazine and gold accents, offering fantastic tactile texture. The angel wings on my back were pinned with colorful flower decorations, adding a fresh softness to an outfit otherwise centered on combat weaponry. The white plush duck appearing in the fourth photo is a subtle detail from the character's original design lore; bringing it along as a prop at the convention added a fun interactive charm during photoshoots.

The photographer was immensely helpful throughout the convention shoot. For the second shot, we tried a seated pose on the floor, which aligned nicely with the character's slightly aloof yet cute disposition; the original official illustration inlay in the top left intuitively showcased the three-view comparison. For the third image, we applied a wide-angle lens perspective combined with a radial blur edit to emphasize the power and dynamic tension of aiming a gun. My personal favorite is actually the fourth picture: inside the Wuhan Ring Universe venue, the floor tile reflections were exceptionally clear. Captured from a low camera angle, it flawlessly caught the mirrored reflection, creating a top-and-bottom symmetrical composition featuring myself, the wings on my back, and the plush duck.

With crowds coming and going through the hall, capturing such clean shots in convention photos was truly thanks to the photographer's on-site mastery. Post-processing this time focused solely on basic skin tone and ambient light adjustments without heavy cropping or stitching, as we wanted to preserve the raw authenticity of being on location as much as possible. Navigating the hall in a long silver-white wig and heavy wings was admittedly a test of physical stamina, but every time I held the prop, struck a pose, and watched the character's demeanor come alive in the viewfinder, a sense of deep fulfillment washed over me.

As a weekend offline convention event, being able to bring this costume to meet everyone in Wuhan, soak in the convention atmosphere, and translate 2D anime imagery into real-world light and shadow is deeply meaningful in itself. These convention photos successfully documented our time at the Wuhan Ring Universe expo; every shoot brings new insights, which is precisely why I love bringing characters to life.
