[Kafū Chino cosplay] Is the Order a Rabbit? Magical Girl Styling Sharing

The Mirror selfie test shoot results for this Kafū Chino Magical Girl look turned out much better than expected. The entire styling blends the character traits from Is the Order a Rabbit?, with subtle costume adjustments made to fit the Magical Girl theme. Starting with the head, putting on the light purple twin-tail wig took quite a bit of effort, especially getting the curled ends to drape naturally over both shoulders; paired with the white bear-ear beret, it concealed the top wig seams and created a seamless visual transition. The outfit is a blue-and-white color-blocked dress featuring a large navy blue bow on the chest and a multi-layered pleated skirt with a white petticoat lining underneath, giving it structure and a playful bounce when spinning—perfectly capturing the perky charm of transforming into a Magical Girl. Since I was shooting solo, I went with a Mirror selfie in the bathroom, which let me check my full body while fine-tuning poses myself. The gray floor tiles and wooden doorframe in the background added a casual, unforced everyday realism to the shot. For styling accessories, the white gloves and circular mirror with black-and-white patterns were great highlights, allowing me to naturally obscure my face while holding the mirror. On the lower body, White stockings paired with black Mary Jane shoes created a classic combination that visually elongated the legs, harmonizing with the skirt length for balanced proportions. I adjusted my angles in front of the mirror many times to find the optimal shot. The lighting was warm-white indoor illumination, which brought out the crisp textures of the dress. Maintaining this outfit requires patience, especially smoothing out the pleated skirt before wearing to avoid creases, but fortunately, the skirt edges looked completely smooth and tidy in the final photos. The pink phone case held before my face also doubled as a prop to frame the selfie. Shooting in a relatively compact space made it easier to capture fine character details, matching Chino's naturally quiet, reserved personality while infusing the novel energy of becoming a Magical Girl. Overall, it was a very satisfying try-on log.
