Today I'm sharing this set of Rem Angel form Convention photos. This set was actually shot in an indoor venue; when I saw this reflective marble floor at the time, I thought it was a match made in heaven for the little white angel look. The wig was specially trimmed, the blue shade had to look natural, and dealing with the bangs and side locks took quite a bit of time. The small cross hairpin on the headpiece and the angel halo on top both needed to be fixed to the wig with fine wire, and during the shoot, I constantly had to make sure the wings didn't tilt. The wings are made of feathers and carry some weight on the back; to keep them looking fully spread out in the photos, the internal wireframe was adjusted many times, and the straps were tied very tightly.
Regarding the costume, the top features a white ruffled design with a subtle hollowed-out feel at the shoulders. The lace sleeve covers on the arms are separate accessories with detailed embroidery along the edges. The White stockings feature frills, making them look exceptionally cute paired with this outfit. Because the venue had a slick floor, I deliberately prepared a round plush rug so lying on it wouldn't be too hard, while also adding a sense of softness to the frame.
As for posing design, this posture of lying on the ground looks simple, but during the actual shoot, to maintain the aesthetic of the body, the lower back and torso needed to arch with effort, and when bending the legs backward, the angles of the knees and ankles had to be carefully weighed. Hands crossed under the chin, with eyes kept clear and gentle. Because the skirt is relatively short, I also had to constantly mind wardrobe safety and skirt placement to ensure the composition looked clean and tidy. Photographer Ahba Ahba was very professional, constantly reminding me to fine-tune my poses—such as pointing my toes a bit more or lifting my chin slightly so the facial contour would be sharper.
As everyone knows, convention photography environments tend to be rather messy, and backgrounds inevitably feature reflectors, light stands, or other debris. Therefore, during post-processing, I edited the photos to a fairly high degree. This is also why I wrote a heavy-retouching apology in the caption. As for the apology regarding inaccuracy, it's because this Angel Rem is a branch form conceptualized by myself. In my understanding, Rem's feelings for Subaru are pure and sacred, so I wanted to use white wings and a halo to materialize this emotion. It might differ slightly from the original settings in everyone's minds, but I incorporated a lot of personal preferences. If true love has a color, it must be blue. This quote is not only a famous line from the original work, but also the core motivation when I was preparing this styling. Although I felt it wasn't accurate enough, through this shoot, I felt an even deeper emotional resonance brought by the character. When the light shone from the side during shooting, casting a faint shadow of the feather wings on the floor, at that moment I felt all the preparation and adjustments were completely worth it.
