Teaming up with Wangle for this Genshin Impact duo shoot featuring Sandrone Cosplay and Columbina Cosplay took substantial pre-production preparation. Starting with hair and makeup, Sandrone's black wig with crimson highlights and her partial porcelain face paint required meticulous edge-blending, with makeup accentuating crimson contacts. Columbina's blonde styling leaned luminous and translucent to make her cerulean irises pop. Garment texture was critical under the lens: Sandrone's black-and-gold frock incorporated jacquard damask brocades, structured sleeves, and brass filigree hardware, anchored by White stockings and matching Mary Janes for an antique Victorian aesthetic. Columbina's multi-tiered cyan-and-white gossamer gown trailed ethereally, with crescent moon shoulder brooches and white-winged hairpieces injecting celestial mystery.
Staged across an opulent European-style parlor filled with carved rosewood cabinets, gilded candelabras, and birdcages, we introduced lush greenery and floral foregrounds to layer depth into the afternoon tea setting. Posing varied from individual portraits perched on high-backed parlor chairs to intimate two-shots leaning together across plush Persian rugs. Navigating two voluminous silhouettes meant constantly redistributing skirt flounces so trains didn't tangle or obscure details. Photographer Xijue built dramatic rim-lighting and soft diffusion boxes, later compositing drifting stardust motes to evoke a surreal 2D dreamscape. From waistline cabochons to gold hemline embroideries, every detail shone under the strobes.
