[Rossi cosplay] Arknights: Endfield Little Red Riding Hood with Xiaomi SU7 Itasha

This shoot took place in a professional studio in Hangzhou, set up specifically to collaborate with a customized Xiaomi SU7 Itasha. The vehicle was wrapped with massive Arknights: Endfield graphics, whose red-and-white palette matched Rossi's outfit seamlessly. To ensure high production value, we utilized a seamless cyclorama wall, sculpting the set with overhead key lighting balanced by soft side diffusion to faithfully render both the car's glossy clearcoat and natural skin textures. Because automotive paint is prone to intense specular reflections, the photographer continually adjusted camera positions, and I worked to pose outside direct hot-spot reflection angles. The spacious studio allowed for full-body framing, letting the car's aerodynamic contours echo my standing silhouette.

To faithfully portray Rossi, I assembled a complete red, white, and black ensemble, including a crimson hood with animal ears, black leather harness straps, layered white skirts, and a sweeping cape draped across the back. Beyond the intricately sculpted black-and-red greatsword prop in hand, I wore a substantial plush tail. While visually striking, moving in the costume was quite demanding—especially in the chunky, thick-soled black boots, which required extra balance when striking dynamic poses. The white faux-fur trim lining the interior of the hood was rendered with crisp, tactile definition under the studio's high-key illumination.

We explored diverse compositions throughout the session. Leaning against the front bumper showcased the overall costume silhouette, while draping over the hood leveraged the car's sleek lines to introduce kinetic energy into the frame. Sitting on the floor or half-kneeling beside the wheels emphasized leg contours, Stockings, and boot construction. Every pose shift demanded utmost caution to prevent props from scratching the vehicle's paint, testing physical control to the limit. Rather than serving as a passive backdrop, the car functioned as an active compositional partner—using its shoulder body line to guide visual flow and establish genuine subject-vehicle synergy.

While the session was physically taxing, seeing the finished results achieve such potent visual impact—across both the character and the car wrap—made it a truly rewarding creative milestone. Capturing Itasha photography requires balancing standard portrait lighting with the reflective nuances of automotive sheet metal and wheel hub textures, and this experience granted me a far deeper command of this unique medium.
