In the world of Arknights: Endfield, which is full of a sense of technology and wasteland aesthetics, the character Zhuang Fangyi has always been someone I really wanted to try. Her costume design has many details, combining the toughness of armor with the drape of patchwork fabric. Together with her iconic red antlers and a touch of red at the ends of her hair, the overall look is highly three-dimensional. For this shoot, we directly chose a pure white studio as the base instead of building complex scenes, using the transformation of lights to create the atmosphere in our white studio photography session.

In post-processing, a large amount of negative space was preserved. A greenish continuous light was placed on top, and a cool white flash was used at the bottom, slowly transitioning into a clear and translucent feeling of white on top and green below. This kind of lighting setup actually heavily tests the model's awareness of light positions, because the direction of the light source in the white studio will reflect directly on the reflective materials. The colored contacts I wore today are light blue; in this cool-toned white and green environment, the color of the pupils appears exceptionally bright and transparent. There is no need for overly forced expressions—just relax slightly and let your gaze interact with the props.

While shooting this set, the photographer also had lighting reference images nearby. We strived to incorporate some softer elements of daily life while preserving the character's aloof temperament. Although her setting in the game is relatively serious, I feel that as a cosplay roleplay, being able to express one's own understood side on the basis of restoring the original setting is also wonderful.

As for the props in hand, whether it's the posture of holding flowers or that casual snapshot holding a little wooden stick, they were all improvised during the studio shoot. The benefit of a white studio is that it allows people to focus all their attention on the person and the costume details without worrying about background elements stealing the spotlight. Adjusting the angles during the shooting process also gave me new ideas about the presentation of this hair and makeup look. I hope that after looking through this set of photos in this cosplay photography project, everyone can feel the quiet yet unwavering character temperament I wanted to convey this time.
