This set of convention photos featuring Akemi Homura's dress styling was chosen to be shot in a relatively dark industrial-style area of the exhibition hall. The texture of the clothing is fantastic; the purple-black spliced corset is paired with layered ruffled mini skirts, and the outermost layer features a slightly reflective semi-transparent sheer gauze. This material contrast looks exceptionally layered in front of the lens. To recreate that dark yet slightly gorgeous temperament, the wig was specially chosen as gray-silver long straight hair, and the large red bow hair ribbon on top of the head is definitely the finishing touch, standing out prominently in the dark tones. In terms of makeup, it highlighted red-pink toned eyeshadow and color-matched contact lenses, paired with a fair base makeup, hoping to create a doll-like refinement. The strap details of the upper-body corset are actually quite tricky to adjust; I spent quite a bit of time adjusting the tightness to fit the body shape. Because the skirt hem is relatively short, coupled with a huge dark sheer gauze train in the back, it is very easy to step on when walking around in convention photos, so I had to constantly pay attention to lifting the skirt hem a little. Shooting such dark-toned photos actually tests lighting setup a lot; utilizing the venue's overhead lights combined with fill light, it just happened to darken the background, forming a beautiful rim light that hit the hair and black stockings with an absolute texture. For shoes, I chose a pair of black high heels with ultra-high platforms, which not only elongated the leg lines but also added to the overall dominant vibe when paired with black stockings. However, walking and posing in these shoes kept my calf muscles in a tense state the whole time, which really tested my physical stamina. For the standing posture in the second picture, to whip the trailing sheer gauze into a nice dynamic arc, I repeatedly tried several angles, posing with slightly bent and flamboyant arms, which actually tested core strength a lot. For the third picture sitting on the folding ladder, the photographer used a camera position with a slight low angle and wide-angle perspective, giving the frame an extremely strong sense of extension and making the legs look particularly long. When shooting characters with a relatively strong aura, the control of the gaze and facial muscles must be tight and not too soft. When striking those sharp actions, I tried my best to keep my fingers in a stiff yet powerful state as well. The convention site environment was noisy and the lighting was also messy; shooting such convention photos really requires quick adaptability, but seeing the light, shadow, and tension in the final photos, it feels like all the preliminary preparation and on-site hustle were totally worth it.
